Get cash.
Buy seeds, grow as much as possible.
Buy durable goods you need ie shoes etc. boots, jackets etc.
Get your freezers full of food used up and restock with fresh stuff.

Stock up.

Ya, it's coming.

Covid restrictions are going to look benign.

Edited to add: buy up solar panels and technology, add a wood heater to the house, improve your fencing, add surveillance to the property.

As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

I was hoping to get through this life without a nuclear war...the probability has spiked lately so you never know.

Does anyone have a list of identified Canadian/northern USA targets?

If anyone took notice all they have to do is cut off Hwy 1, Hwy 3 and the Coq to starve out BC's interior. So Hope?

What is everyone's comfort level? Do you think nuclear war is a real threat in the next weeks, months?

I would think if the Ukraine/Russia conflict escalates much more it would be a possible and real threat. IMHO of course.

Be happy it's winter...if it happened in the heat of the summer, the global smoke cover would be way worse.
Isn't that what the new solar panels on the roof supposed to take care of? :135:

More seriously, Aljeerza has some thoughts on how possible a nuclear war is by now. Get a load of that graph.

Build a bomb shelter under your garage and stock up on freeze-dried non-perishables which tends to have a 30 year shelf life, and seeds. Get a CB or HAM radio and keep the world informed. Would be a nice to have a weapon or two plus ammo. Spend time outside the city in case it is invaded. Stock up on fuel. Trudeau won't let us fight for Canada since he is a globalist, which means part Russian, Chinese, and North Korean.

Nuclear Weapons are not the only threat. Ice ages, asteroids, and plagues can all wipe out lots of people. Hopefully we don't get a plague and ice age after a nuclear war.

You will need more than just solar panels. You will need a battery bank and a converter which will cost you big bucks to have enough to run freezers, lights etc.

I could do it with my RV for much less but still need a supply of propane and more batteries as well as the solar panels.

If they take out The US Military bases that are close by we won't live long anyway. The radiation will get us first.

I would just as soon go quickly anyway so a gun and a few rounds will do me just fine!

Look up old Time magazine covers from the past and see what kinds of fear porn used to be drummed up. These are just a few quick examples in regards to nuclear war. People are easier to govern when they're scared and divided.

Here's another one for honorable mention. Nothing to do with nuclear war but just an example of more fear to keep the chattel in a state of bewildered compliance. Same as it ever was.

Good grief!

Have you seen the price of an old school Gen-X nuclear bomb shelter these days?
