I usually do them in a cast iron pot in the oven but my Wife is making a Harvey Wallbanger cake for her quilting ladies so I am doing this in the instant pot on slow cook.
I found the slow cook option on my IP horrible. Even on high it didn't want to cook it well. So glad I didn't get rid of my Crockpot.
Do you have the glass lid that you can buy extra?

It works just fine with one of those. My crockpot is too hot and bubbles away even on low. On high it almost burns.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?

Chicken was overcooked and a wee bit tough. If I did it that way again I would reduce the cooking time.

I started it at 3 and we ate just after 6. I would do 2 hours next time but prefer it done in the oven.

It also didn't thicken enough for my taste.

Cincinnati chili 3-way (might get adventurous and go 4-way)

Pot Bread

I made a loaf of bread in a pot.
They cost $5+ al the grocery store.
I was thinking about how much the price of groceries are going up these days and sometimes the limited selection available .....I thought I would make my own.

It cost me the price of 3 cups flour, a tsp of yeast and some time.
This bread can be made in 10 minutes and left on the counter over night, put in the oven in the morning and it will bake off in +/- 1 hour.

How happy would your family be to have a nice warm, fresh loaf of bread for breakfast?

The COST? The same as 3 cups of flour.

I made mine in the afternoon and started the wings for my trellis. They will be finished tomorrow before lunch.

The wood is Yellow cedar and was salvaged ........(NO cost)

I picked up a good used bread machine a few months ago and have been making my own bread ever since.

I worked it out to about .50 per loaf. It has more than paid for itself.

Dinner tonight was BBQ Lamb, fried potato's and steamed carrots.

Alan, can you post your pot bread in your cooking thread? Recipe and all?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

This with rice and asparagus. Family favorite and a great way to use up tomatoes. https://littlespicejar.com/tomato-baked-chicken/

Lasagna from the freezer. I make it and then divide it and freeze in portions to pull out for work dinners.
