Note that it says to ventilate areas such as behind a wall to help dry.

It's not hard to patch a few small holes in drywall if you punch a few holes in it. You simply cut a piece to fit the hole, put a nail through it from the side that will be on the inside so you have something to hold it in place with while you mud it into place. Once it's set, hammer the nail in (gently) and fill the little hole. Sand and paint.

As does bleach. I was gonna suggest calling Zep also. They will know what to do and they will have something to do that with.

Bleach doesn't penetrate enough to kill all the mold (black mold) and the preggers lady might find the fumes sickening.

The main thing right now is to get everything dry. Then mould won't be an issue anyway. It doesn't just appear the day after something gets wet.

bingo! as long everything gets dried there won't be a problem. now where is that Hugh Jass? he should be giving us an update.

lol.. Sorry for the lack of update, was a little busy througout the day.

It really seems as though its all going to dry no problem. I took the advice of Gardengirl and Briter and used the Wet/Dry Vac on reverse and blew air up under the drywall for a few hours then I just turned it so it blew under the carpet. I had the heat on in the bedroom and bathroom and I had the dehumudifier going all day... Also had the Big Warehouse fan blowing all day on the carpter... It is all very dry to the touch right now.

So tomorrow Ill be doing more of the same, especially underneath the carpet and walls with the wet/dry vac.... I am pretty confident though that we will have gotten it all dry so Mold wont be a problem.

Gosh, Hugh - your situation sounds like a nightmare. I'd like to be able to give you advice as to what to do but I am sorry, I just don't know. I can tell you what NOT to do, however, and that is DON'T CALL OKANAGAN RESTORATION!
