Stingers and others use infra red or radar seekers but those hot flairs you see spraying out can deflect the stingers to some extent.

They are loosing a war of attrition. Time to bail, move to the eastern flank and hopefully will continue to loose.

I remember reading quite some time ago an attacking force could be as much as 3 times the defensive force unless you have force multipliers. Those force multipliers might be air assets, cruise missiles and armor. Might have to write an addendum in the war games books... Bet China is making notes as Taiwan has some pretty modern kit and the backing of US.
Looks like the Ukrainians are doing a damb fine job, regardless of any military doctrine. It is a war crime that the Russians are laying waste to cities and towns that have absolutely no military value. AND NO, Ukraine are not positioning artillery or heavy equipment in said towns, hospitals, apartment blocks etc.

Near 80 year old dispute being acted upon more aggressively.
Perfect timing, Russia at it's weakest is a time to kick.

Russia, make a note to yourselves; this is not WW2 and these Ukrainians are not the Nazi's that invaded YOUR country all those years ago..
The war crime charges are mounting
News today saying the bodies are booby trapped and mines litter the landscape. Time to use captured Russian troops to de-mine and de-booby trap the bodies.
I believed the Americans did something similar near the end of WW2 with German POWS.
To those that believe Russia will not suffer economically from their war crimes in Ukraine, I wouldn't make that bet...
I just hope they do sooner than later and the Russians start making a fuss, but with pootins disinformation campaign, might take a while.
