^^^ those GPS guided shells are expensive, $100,000 a round. Pretty accurate though. Maybe the west can make some 152mm equivalent shells for the Russians so they don't keep hitting apartment blocks, hospitals, shopping centers, you know, those high value military targets...

I understand the average miss radius is 1.something meters. That's like, through the window and hit the couch, instead of the lazyboy. Not that it matters much with a blast radius of 70 meters. There's a video floating around today that looks like it might be one of the first Excalibur hits on a tank.

It's going to get your attention, for a very brief moment - that much is for sure.

With the events the past 8 weeks or so I don't think that fellow is too far off.

However, regardless Russian equipment might be dated compared to western standards, if someone were to invade Russia and threaten Moscow, I don't think it would turn out well for any invading force.

In this case with Ukraine, Russia is on the world stage how mostly inept they are in taking the fight to another country.

If you want to call destroying civilian targets and intentionally killing/murdering innocent civilians taking the fight to another country.

ETA: In total the now infamous Russian Siverskyi Donets river crossing, claimed 73 pieces of Russian equipment. (Destroyed, or abandoned) The implication, up to 1500 hostile invaders may have been successfully converted to temporary, yet very peaceful occupants, of Ukraine.

Ukrainian soldiers in the Odesa region have unearthed a couple ancient amphorae. (new word to me, but see above) The containers are said to date back to the 4th or 5th century BC. They have been donated to the Odesa Archaeological Museum.

Russia is having to use computer chips intended for home appliances to repair its military hardware due to the impact of US sanctions, according to a US official.

"We have reports from Ukrainians that when they find Russian military equipment on the ground, it's filled with semiconductors that they took out of dishwashers and refrigerators," commerce secretary Gina Raimondo told the Senate Committee on Appropriations on Wednesday.

I'm finding it harder to know what to believe. It seems for all we see on our end that Russia is losing hardware, they've gained territory at a vast cost to their armies but to no real cost to Putin himself. And Ukraine is losing fighters with few replacements while Russia keeps adding cannon fodder to their frontlines. How many soldiers can each side go through before someone ends that madman in Moscow?
