The NDP are proposing a motion that will remove all federal petroleum targeted tax subsidies and public subsidies (eg: government financing, loans, tax deferrals, etc.).The motion also includes a sections that would divert the savings over the next four years into an increase the implementation of green technologies and reduction of GHG.

It will be interesting to see how much support the motion receives. During the poorly attended debate, the NDP members pointed out that the petroleum companies are making record profits, still taking the subsidies, and yet dragging their feet on environmental improvements. Mr. Singh has pointed out that this motion shows that the the NDP in Opposition does not unconditionally support the government.
Do the dumbasses on the left have any idea who pays for oil companies' tax increases?

Hint: it's not the oil companies.

Man, I've never seen such a bunch of brain dead fools as the NDPiberals.

Look in the mirror.
To see what? Really stupid NDP and Liberals standing behind him? The Niberals just plain suck.

Jagmeet Singh haters just plain suck!
Peterborough County council condemns protesters’ actions against NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh

Peterborough County council says it is united in condemning the actions of protesters who accosted federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh in Peterborough, Ont., last week.

Opening their council meeting on Wednesday morning, County Warden J. Murray Jones issued a statement saying council condemns the “attacks” by those involved with “threatening and defaming” Singh on May 10.

The incidents — caught on video and shared widely on social media — involved a small group of people who yelled profanities and gave Singh middle fingers as he entered and exited the campaign office for Peterborough—Kawartha NDP provincial candidate Jen Deck.

“The actions of those perpetrators was disgusting and they certainly don’t represent the majority of people in our community who are inclusive and kind,” said Jones. “This type of behaviour has to stop, we are seeing it far too often, on social media, in person, towards politicians and against one another here in the greater Peterborough area, throughout Ontario and Canada and around the world.”

Peterborough police said they were unaware of Singh’s visit. On Tuesday, police said there were no grounds to lay criminal charges in the incident, which Singh described as one “most intense, threatening, insulting” experiences in his political career. Among the yells he said he heard was “I hope you die.”

The RCMP is also investigating the incident.

On Tuesday morning, Peterborough Mayor Diane Therrien called on all political leaders to condemn the behaviour. County council echoed her sentiment.

Jagmeet Singh and Gurkiran Kaur dish on their fave Canadian restaurants

Just a few months after welcoming their baby daughter, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and his wife Gurkiran Kaur were out on the town Sunday night for the JUNO Awards.

Daily Hive caught up with the perfect pair on the red carpet.

“It’s so awesome being [here] in person, celebrating Canadian artists,” said Singh. “And we’re also on a date night, that’s also pretty cute.”

Kaur chimed in adding that everyone’s healthy and happy and that the couple feels comfortable with leaving their daughter at her grandparents.

“It’s important to be able to get out, and we think that it’s been rare to be able to have moments where you can get out in a way that’s so public with so many people together, and so it feels a bit hopeful in a way…that we’re moving past the pandemic,” explained Singh.

The country certainly seems to be moving past the pandemic with looser public health restrictions. Canadians can now dine in at most restaurants, which is exciting, especially in time for summer, so we asked Singh and Kaur for their restaurant recommendations in Vancouver and Toronto.

“That’s a hard one because we have so many,” said Kaur.

In an adorable interaction, Singh and Kaur tried to reveal their answers at the same time on the count of three, but the pair ended up sharing each other’s fave spots.

Jagmeet Singh was elected by Canadians to respresent Canadians, and far right extremists feel entitled to threaten him because they’re sad their favorite party is full of losers.

Why does the far right hate the voices of Canadian voters?

He was recently threatened and violently engaged by a gang of far-right thugs. If I were him I'd also be reluctant to meet with detractors for fear of being stabbed or shot or something.

They act as if angry Canadians are the cause of Canada being divided, rather than acknowledging that angry people and a divided nation are an effect of the divisive policies and divisive rhetoric used by the Liberal-NDP Pact.

One thing you’ll notice is that politicians like Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh love to reverse cause and effect.

They act as if angry Canadians are the cause of Canada being divided, rather than acknowledging that angry people and a divided nation are an effect of the divisive policies and divisive rhetoric used by the Liberal-NDP Pact.

In the last election, Justin Trudeau used the rights and freedoms of Canadians as a wedge issue, and referred to unvaccinated people in the most divisive terms.

Jagmeet Singh said he “doesn’t respect Conservatives,” and has been glad to partner with Trudeau in denying millions of people the right to travel.

Singh also pushed divisive economic rhetoric, ignorantly blaming ‘big corporations’ and the ‘rich’ for inflation, while completely ignoring the role of the carbon tax and massive government spending – all policies he supports.

All the while, Singh lives it up, driving expensive cars and wearing expensive suits, even as his policies push the kind of life he lives far out of reach for more and more Canadians.

This is the cause of the anger he is facing across Canada, and no amount of playing the victim or attempting to blame the Canadian People will change that reality.
The chickens are coming home to roost, just as most of us expected they would and should.

Sellout Singh willingly married into a Niberal union and his voters are NOT happy about that.

Good! He should be chased outta town like any other grifter.

I think Singh is going to have to make a hard choice real soon, he can either stand up for those who elected NDP MPs, or he can continue prop up Trudeau. Either way, I don't think he'll be the NDP leader next time round, not even sure if he'll be elected in his own riding. Benedict Arnold all over again.

Jagmeet will be re-elected. Those Burnaby communists would vote for a dead dog as long as it was committed to killing pipelines and destroying the economy.
