Ummm, no. He was jailed for breaching his conditional sentence! But headline made me click! After reading the full article, this might have been the incident that closed down harvey late last fall..I never did hear what caused all that

Headline: Increased demand in water supply may cause discolouration for Osoyoos residents

Arrest in attack on baby
https://www.castanet.net/edition/news-s ... htm#373818

This is irresponsible editing. Someone threw a bottle at parents with a baby. Some of the liquid landed on the baby. Yes it was terrible but it was not the same thing as someone attacking a baby.

Wasn't even reported by the parents who left before police arrived but it must have been "terrifying".

Sure I'd be upset. Of course. But the person did not "attack the baby".

This is irresponsible editing. Someone threw a bottle at parents with a baby. Some of the liquid landed on the baby. Yes it was terrible but it was not the same thing as someone attacking a baby.
From the article: "At 4:30 p.m. on June 27, a call was made to police reporting that a man was throwing a glass bottle at the child and their parents at the intersection of Davie and Bidwell."

Where do you get "threw a bottle at parents WITH a baby" ?
JLives wrote: Jul 1st, 2022, 11:32 am Sure I'd be upset. Of course. But the person did not "attack the baby".
I think we're arguing semantics here.
  • at·tack /əˈtak/
an aggressive and violent action against a person or place.
"he was killed in an attack on a checkpoint"
I would say that throwing a glass object in the direction of someone or something is an "aggressive" and "violent action" .

Are you saying that although the bottle was thrown in the direction of the baby and it's contents spilled on the baby, that that should be called something else ? "Arrest made in irresponsible throwing of bottle that almost struck a baby"
