Exactly. Instead, he receives praise from partisans for attempting to deceive Canadians for partisan reasons, concerning a perfectly legal protest that the partisans says is illegal but fails to notice that the invocation of EA was illegal while trying to pass it off as legal
There, I think that about covers it.
May I add to above?Exactly. Instead, he receives praise from partisans for attempting to deceive Canadians for partisan reasons.

Re: Marco Mendicino should resign
So your good with the government mis leading, making false statements, creating false incidents, making statements that other criminal activity was part of the incident, etc. etc. In order just to be sure they could justify the request for the act. In this case and in future cases, Your OK with any government mis leading the people and the court system of this country? Most of us see a government that acted extremely un professional in their proceedings to have the act approved.Pappywinkle wrote: ↑Jun 15th, 2022, 8:17 amGood grief. When parties fulfill the commitments made to those who voted for them it's 100% serving the people who elected them. And the Liberals fulfilled their commitment to protect the rights and freedoms of Canadians who were being terrorized by far right occupiers.
Most of us have acknowledged the truth that has come from the biased investigation into the request of the act.
Also, can you describe the terrorizing of the people of this country?
If your information came from the media sources of this country, then that is a concern in its self.
Is terrorism honking of horns? Stories are told from people actually there of horns, people and trucks in the street. Never heard one person describe terror.
Your making a statement here so some just want to understand whether its just political needs or of merit.
Please describe the terrorism in Ottawa that you saw, being there of course.

I'm not sure of any government that did what you describe - the Liberals and Marco Mendicino responded to requests for assistance from both the city of Ottawa and the province and helped bring an end to the illegal occupation to protect the rights and freedoms of Ottawans. Canadians are so fortunate to have the Liberals works so hard to protect Canadians rights and freedoms, especially in the face of such extremism.
Depriving Canadians living in Ottawa from sleep for 3 weeks straight by blaring air horns 24/7 and shutting down of the downtown core are absolutely terrorism. It's down right disgusting that there are Canadians willing to treat their fellow citizens as poorly as the occupiers did to Ottawans, and shame on anyone still defending such horrible actions.
It's mind boggling how there are so many right wingers that are so hopped up on hatred that they refuse to acknowledge the disgusting extremist behavior of the convoy occupiers. I've yet to hear any freedumb sympathizers acknowledge that the organizers made white nationalist and racist statements online, which sadly shows that racist, white nationalist extremists are given a pass by the far right, so long as they hate the same politicians as their apologists.
Thank you Mr. Mendicino and thank you Liberals for protecting Canadians rights and freedoms!

Well, you just call me any derogatory name you like as I, for one, have NO sympathy for those poor, deprived citizens of Ottawa, who in their flawed wisdom, elected this filthy and corrupt government upon the rest of the citizens.
So they lost sleep. Wow! That is an over-riding “concern” for you, but you don’t have a thought for all those Canadians who were villified for not being vaxxed, fired from their employment for not being vaxxed, not a tear for anyone not being able to see grandparents for the last time simply because they were not vaxxed, and heaven forbid, not a thought or prayer for the future where job loss, Canadian economic disaster with businesses closing permanently, or to the personal toll felt by most of us under the heavy-handedness of this corrupt government’s mandates.
Spare us your tears for Ottawa. I don’t give a damn about them anymore unless and until they see the light.

Are you really saying that you think the citizens of Ottawa elected the representatives for the entire country?

7 of 8 ridings voted liberal.
No, I still cry no tears over Ottawaians losing a few nights sleep.

Re: Marco Mendicino should resign
Wow, the curtains have finally been lifted on the true feelings and intentions of the freedumb convoy supporters, and it's not pretty. Anyone still arguing that the freedumb convoy wasn't driven by hatred of Trudeau and democracy should be ashamed.Catsumi wrote: ↑Jun 15th, 2022, 7:30 pm Well, you just call me any derogatory name you like as I, for one, have NO sympathy for those poor, deprived citizens of Ottawa, who in their flawed wisdom, elected this filthy and corrupt government upon the rest of the citizens.

"Ottawans deserve 3 weeks of terrorism because they all voted for the guy I don't like". In the eyes of the freedumb convoy, Ottawans were the enemy and deserved to be honked at and terrorized - after all, "they ALL voted for Trudeau".
Not only is it ridiculously dumb to assume to know how thousands of Canadians in Ottawa voted, it's down right disgusting to think that terrorizing them for 3 weeks straight is ok just because they may have voted differently. It's called democracy.
Some who insisted that the Ottawa occupation was just about mandates should read the above post to see how quickly and easily some Canadians have been radicalized into following white nationalist and racist extremists with murderous intentions, because to them none of that matters as long as they share the deep seeded hatred of Trudeau and any Canadians who voted Liberal.
And these extremists try and argue that it's Trudeau causing division...gee it couldn't be Canadians terrorizing other citizens over baseless and stupid assumptions about how they voted...in a democracy... smh
At least there are Canadians that value democracy like Marco Mendicino, who worked hard to protect the rights and freedoms of Ottawans from these violent and unhinged democracy-hating extremists.
Thank you, Mr. Mendicino for protecting Canadians rights and freedoms from far right hatred and protecting Canadian democracy!
