according to this radar map it looks like today could see flooding in bc from vancouver to here

Scotty/Mill Creek has flooded Bulman Road by the airport.

Castanet has been asking us whether we are concerned or prepared for floods this season for weeks, and only this morning do we begin sandbagging?

The BC Interior will experience its first stretch of warmer than average temperatures beginning this weekend. On Saturday, temperatures will reach into the upper 20's. For the remainder of the weekend and early next week, temperatures will rise into the low to mid 30's. Overnight lows will fall to the mid-teens.

With elevated temperatures, the risk of heat related illnesses increase.

Freezing levels rise throughout this event and will lead to an increase in snowmelt and snowpack instability. Increased stream flows due to run-off are possible.

Not sure about how much of a monsoon it will be, 60% chance of precip where I live, Kamloops, but preceded by 32C the day before, yeah, the rivers and lakes will get high.

But it is the highest point... And thus the place snow lasts the longest.

Snow from big white does not end up in mission creek it ends up in the kettle snow from the greystokes plateau does however and there is still lots up there you can still snowmobile there

Oops, yes, I forgot that doesn't border the Okanagan like Silver Star does. There would be some snow at 1800m in Greystokes, but not enough to bring creeks back to peak flood levels. The Mission Creek snow pillow has been going down rapidly all month.
