This is happening to earth . We are causing our own hot car .
Nope... my hot looking car has A/C, cooled seats, & if those fail... electric windows and a throttle to go anywhere from 10 to 120 km/hr. (unless I'm at a closed track then up to 220 km/hr)

Well lets talk about climate change instead of hot cars and I'll do the same.

Interesting because there is more at play than the self aggrandized "greenhouse effect" that is NOT a new thing (just like "atmospheric river" is NOT a new thing, its a cloud band). Increased temps may be the result of natural cycles... if you'd like a link to previous reports on data gathered from Greenland's ice then I can provide that info on a 200 to 250k year cycle that we are due for... but alas we are not on speaking terms cause I didn't look up greenhouse effect on google but learned about it in grade school when the home ec. teacher got us to put plastic around tomatoes multiple decades ago before the trendy climate crusaders use catch phrases to generate hysteria as a cash grab.

That's right, there is nothing to see since this is a climate thread, not a weather thread. Of course the CBC has no science and refer to a non-peer-reviewed study. Also, one can't call the output of models, science.

richmond sinking , sea level rising . :200:

https://thetyee.ca/News/2022/06/15/Rich ... =editorial

The island city, just south of Vancouver, sits at the mouth of the Fraser River and is, on average, one metre above sea level. That happens to be the height that the sea level is expected to rise by 2100. There’s also the issue of Richmond’s subsidence. In short, the city is sinking. By 2100, Richmond’s land will have dropped by 20 centimetres.

Every centimetre is essential as climate change worsens. Richmond is exposed to major floods on two fronts: by the coast and by the river.

Aside from the city’s need to protect 210,000 residents, crucial regional infrastructure is also at risk. Richmond is home to the region’s international airport, over 7,700 acres of farmland and key highways that lead to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal and across the Washington border. Plus over 7,700 acres of farmland.

By 2100? Is that a storyline for some upcoming disaster movie? Like "2012"?

oil companies awash in money lol , they will need that money once the lawsuits based on harm to the planet and harm to living things on it kick in . better give them oil companies more tax breaks while we are at it , be better for climate if we just paid them what they make not to mine oil. i wonder if exxon would go for that ?

LOL. Sea-level won't rise by a meter in the next 77 years. This is based on extremely poor models and poor understanding of climate and CO2. Sea-level rise is not accelerating and that is pretty much an indication it is rising at a nominal rate since the 1800's. Eventually, sea-level will bust over the dikes... sea-level has already naturally been 15 feet higher 6000 years back. It is bound to happen some time.
