Kamloops will have an interesting school board race. An anti-vax, anti-mask, fundamentalist, book burning momma. She even accuses teachers of giving Kamloops kids "puberty blockers" and the schools having "pornographic books" in the libraries. She's called the current school board members "dinosaurs" and that they don't want to help kids, they possibly want to harm them.

If their candidates forum is streamed, I want to watch.

Fer shure. Socialism is being shown to our kids everyday in these schools by the woke, leftist, unionized teachers. Every time a kid goes to the library and borrows a book, he's being indoctrinated into communism. Every kid has access to the books and they learn that socialism early in life and are willing to share the resource with the other kids. It's all just so wrong.

Given the pathetically low voter turnouts in some communities, I would expect that some of these nuts could get elected and cause all kinds of trouble. If a slate of them takes over a school board there could be trouble when they try to start the book burnings, gender firings, religious integration, and anti-vaxxing.

Here's another one in Kamloops that we need to be concerned about.

Deiter Dudy. He's running for mayor.

A nice catchy name that makes many smile, but it appears he is seriously lacking in economic skills.

Deiter operates a farm in Kamloops and sells produce at the local Farmers Market.
Only a fool would pay his exorbitant prices for produce.
Example, Hubbard squash today was priced at $2.49/pound.

Farms in the Keremeos region are selling all varieties of squash, including Hubbard for $0.79/pound.

Do we really want this guy running Kamloops?
He's ripping off the gullible with his overpriced produce. What will he do to taxpayers?

And on his website, in regards to Public Safety,
The police don’t do enough, our community service officers don’t move people along quickly enough.
Deiter, wake up, the police are doing everything they can. It's our courts that don't do enough.

And Community Service Officers, they are moving people along as quickly as they LEGALLY can.

And then there's the Performing Arts Centre, which appears to be his #1 pet project.
Just over a year ago it was pegged at $90,000,000. Now it's no doubt well over $100 million.

I read through much of the PAC proposal and had some questions regarding the operating costs, appeared way too low, and projected income, appeared way too high.
In other words, some fudged numbers by the Dream Team.
I know all about budgeting and those numbers were questionable.

Better give some serious thought to others running for mayor and council. Taxes should be at the top of the list.

Seeing a diversity of people running is what bolsters my faith in the democratic system. Lack of diversity at the higher levels of government is disappointing to me. But I like that at the local level, the people running seem like real people. When I watch parliament, what I see is a bunch of people that do not talk or act like real people and basically are all the same (liars, opportunists) with a slightly different flavor.

Plus I am not someone who agrees with an individual pushing their agenda over the majority.

But, the article someone posted earlier showed a news article which was rather disturbing. It appears that the organizers have scrubbed their social media, deleted offensive crap, and turned into a bunch of 'harmless parents'.
