It is a very serious matter, indeed. But sovereignty and governing come with responsibilities as well. And one of the most important ones is not to abuse the power by oppressing and terrorizing your own population. Since 2014, Ukraine has been failing on that miserably.

Applying noble deeds that Putin was just protecting "his" people is just plain wrong. The annexation of Crimea was about getting access to a warm water port. This all about the money and power. The recent invasion of Ukraine again is about money and trying to get ahold of the resources and industrial capacity of Eastern Ukraine.

That being said the west and the American don't have altruistic motives either. The west saw another opportunity to stick it to a foe who has been messing with elections and stirring up divisive sentiment in the western countries. Tossing a few billions at the Ukraines to crush Russia economically seems pretty cheap in the long term.

There are no good guys in this scenario.

Agreed. However.

Russia is trying to negotiate. US is underminding negotiations and Biden said the other day no negotiations.

When talking about destoying the entire planet that we all live on over this one single issue...

Before and after the illegal invasion of Ukraine, Zelensky asked numerous times for war criminal Vladimir Putin to come to the table and negotiate.
He refused every time.
He had his chance.

Russia already had access to warm water port in Crimea. Sevastopol is a major Russian naval base, and it's been in Russian hands ever since. And why would resources uber-rich Russia go after such a small and resources not so rich region such as Donbas? It doesn't make any sense.

Since 2014, eight long years have passed in unsuccessful negotiations, and only because of Ukrainian government's unwillingness to negotiate open issues in good faith.

No. Since the 2014 coup, eight long years of unsuccessful negotiations on open issues have passed, and only because Ukraine government's unwillingness to negotiate in good faith.
Also, over that time, the only things Ukrainian government has accomplished is to antagonize and terrorize parts of their own population, as well as to economically bring Ukraine down on its knees thorough mass corruption and mismanagement. Once prosperous country, Ukraine nowadays is the most impoverished and backward country of all former Soviet republics. Even worse, just before this war, it rated #100 for GDP/capita worldwide. And that's well below Gabon, Botswana, and Equatorial Guinea. Failed country!

Why is war criminal Vladimir Putin mingling into Ukrainian Government's affairs?

Sevastopol was in Russian hands but tell me how you get your freight through to that port when before 2014 is was completely surrounded by Ukraine? Imagine this Quebec decided to seperate and take the St Lawrence Seaway with them. Think the the rest of Canada might be a little *bleep*?

Just repeating that "war criminal" ad nauseum won't advance any argument.

Putin is not trying to negotiate at all, thats BS. He has be wailing since the beginning about using Nukes. Imagine someone pointing a gun at you and telling you they really want to negotiate. Are you believing that?

Hmmm, .. by trains, trucks, and some by air, like any landlocked country would do, I guess. Why does it matter? And speaking of freight ports, Russia already has at least two major ports in the area, Rostov and Novorossiysk. No need to "invade" anything for that.
You still don't make any sense.
