Hmmmm, I gotta say ‘yes’.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

It is officially tea/cocoa in the afternoon weather. Preferably with a soft fuzzy blanket wrapped around the shoulders, in a comfy chair with a good book and sufficient light for reading. And with a pet to snuggle.

Here's a question for all of you that take in sports events that sell 50/50 tickets.

I took in a helluva hockey game last night.
First off, we were surrounded by Japanese students. It could have been their first ever hockey game, plenty of ohhs, ahhs, cheers whenever the guys were bodychecking, plus they went crazy when a fight started. I guess it beats the hell out of sumo wrestling.

Anyways, I was with a buddy and got to thinking about the 50/50 prize. It ended up being close to 8 grand. :200:

What should I do if I have the winning ticket and he didnt buy a tcket? Split it with him? Buy him a beer? I can't keep quiet as they announce the winner.

And what if we each buy a ticket? Same thing? Split it?

Just wondering about 50/50 edicate between friends.

It would all depend on what you agreed on going in. If you agreed to split then split.

If you didn't make prior arrangements then it's all yours (or theirs)

Unless he gave you money for the ticket, you don't have to split it.

It would be good manners to celebrate by buying him a beer (if he likes beer).

Didn't want to start a separate topic, no idea where it would go, so here's today's story.

A young family we know ordered a new gas range and fridge, costly for them, more than a few bucks but they were excited about it.
Delivery was scheduled for no later than early Saturday afternoon.
Hubby is working so the wife has the stove disconnected, the fridge emptied and moved off the elevated floor, and she waits.

And waits. :swear:

And waits. :cuss: :cuss:

She calls the store she bought it from, delivery was included, and is given the number of the delivery company. She phones and phones and phones. No one answers. By supper time she has given up. :cuss:

This morning, Sunday she calls the appliance store. Deliver company does not deliver Sunday or Monday, Tuesday is the earliest she'll get it but they can't tell her what time. :200:

So now she has no range, she struggles getting the fridge into position to plug in, which btw does not work very well. :-X
Until delivery, meals will be microwave or restaurants $$$$.

She also has to rearrange for a gas fitter to be on standby Tuesday, if she can find one today, not likely. BTW, she and her husband both need to be at work Tuesday. Delivery was planned for Saturday as she would be home.
Oh, and she has two little kids.

Customer service? No sign of it from the large, well known appliance store.

Anyone interested in the name of this Kamloops store, pm me.

Many stores such as this use private contractors for deliveries.
Not many have a fleet of trucks and able bodies at beckon call.

Onus is on whatever fly by night delivery service they put reliance on.

Still shadows the store yet, not entirely their fault. Just my toonie.
