Only the super rich can afford to drive those things and replace parts.

Was the $6100.00 in Cdn bucks or USA$. ? Either way, who the heck can afford to drive an EV Hummer?
Most likely 61 Benjamin Franklins coming from the federalist in the us. :-) Everything about EVs will begin getting more expensive, particularly the batteries. Li2CO3 has gone up 8x in price the last year.

Will EVs fix anything? No. Mostly because the world is transitioning to fossil fuels due to the shortage of unicorn farts.

Farting unicorns are under stress too. Just can’t get enough of the good stuff to keep the guts roiling.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

Yet more predictable news from the big Apple and E-bikes, which are blowing up at an increasing rate. Imagine if everyone had one, there would be no New York left to live in. Hopefully they ban garbage like this. It can’t even be publicly stored anywhere.

Another Tesla recall. Tesla has had 17 recalls in 2022 alone.

I was mentioning Tesla had 17 different recalls in 2022. How does that compare to Ford? Ford has had large recalls like Tesla and Chevy. Did Ford have more than 17 recalls in 2022?

The nhl will have a hyundi ev as its official ev car going forward .

Official Electric Vehicle of the NHL and NHLPA.”

It will utilize the sponsorship in different ways across its entire lineup but will emphasize its EVs, said Smith. “That’s going to be our lead… really establishing ourselves as an EV leader, and we are. We’re the number one mainstream brand in Canada from a sales standpoint,” she said. “So we’re going to lead with that in the NHL.”

The argument for electrifying fleets is simple. Fleets of vehicles are purchased by institutions, companies, public school systems, and the government, in bulk. They can take far more trips in a week than a typical passenger car in a single day, which means that replacing one of these vehicles with an EV can have an outsized impact on reducing carbon emissions.

Alot of big companies like walmart will drive the switch to ev future . :130:

The Porsche Taycan 4S has the longest range of up to 513 km (319 miles) according to the WLTP test cycle, while the Taycan Turbo S is the fastest production electric car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a record of 7 minutes 33 seconds (compared to 7 minutes and 35.579 seconds in the case of the Tesla Model S Plaid).

Porsche reports that "many" of its customers already covered well over 100,000 km (62,000 miles) in their Taycans. One of the top results is now approaching 200,000 km (124,000 miles) with little to no maintenance issues.

100 000 taycans have been built .

According to this site they had 40. So far. That's certainly worse than Tesla but they also make more cars. (I think) Certainly more models.

The fact that Sema is now starting to cater to ev for aftermarket means the era of electric cars has begun .

The last time I attended SEMA was back in 2014 and electric cars were considered nothing more than weird-looking golf carts at the time. Sure, Teslas were around (albeit rare) back then. But the Silicon Valley automaker was considered a "flash in the pan" at the time — soon to be another DeLorean that would likely go out-of-business. Not so. This year, Teslas were everywhere at SEMA. And EVs were increasingly on-display at SEMA booths all over the show — a vivid signpost that the auto industry's transition away from fossil fuels is coming.

i7 better than its gas counterpart

BMW i7 is a revelation. For the first time in 10 years, a legacy automaker has produced a large electric luxury sedan that takes the segment into the modern age—and is conclusively better than its gasoline counterpart.

The feat is even more remarkable because the i7 is an adaptation of the gasoline-powered 7-Series, BMW’s benchmark sedan and competitor to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Justified skepticism greeted the Bavarian automaker’s 2016 announcement it would build future electric cars on platforms shared with gasoline and diesel models—quite unlike the pioneering i3 compact hatchback and i8 plug-in hybrid sports coupe that were its first EV entries.

Right. Forty recalls for a dozen vehicles, compared to 17 recalls for a few Teslas.
Consumers reports was saying Tesla vehicles have about 50% more problems on average.
