Why do you believe?

Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

You can only give something that you can take away, if you can take free will away it does not exist. Mankind was born with free will and it is not a god given gift no matter what people wrote in the past.

God did not say that, people did.

I’m speaking only from what’s in the Bible.

That's fine as long as it is understood that being written and being true are not the same thing.

Fiction and non fiction. I suspect much of what is printed in the Bible falls in the first category.

If the Bible was written by God himself it would be non-fiction.
But it was written by mere mortals.
The Bible was written by approximately 40 men of diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years.

What about the majority of the world's population...by far they are not Christians. So, they are all going to hell? Makes no sense. Also, with billions of galaxies out there; its very narrow minded to believe that there is only life on one tiny planet - Earth.

Because I want to, and I like it.
