Police arrest 3 in Rail Trail beating

Kelowna RCMP have arrested 3 individuals in connection with the savage beating of a rider on Kelowna's rail trail.
During a ride on the trail, a rider was savagely beaten and robbed of his bike and cell phone.
He suffered a fractured skull, collapsed lung and other injuries during the robbery.
The individuals, not named, are to appear in court December 15.

What is frustrating about this story is how it was reported.
Totally disjointed by reporters and as usual, the RCMP with their rambling nonsensical p.r. releases.
What is it about our locals in charge?
Supt Kara Triance: "senseless violence that shocked our community and has been life altering....senseless violence that shifts the public's feeling of safety is intolerable and will be addressed with the full response by our teams"
By the way, Triance says it is none of the public's business about the number of officers short at the Kelowna detachment.
What is there about our national police force that appears to be dysfunctional?
P.R. exercises after police involved incidents that make the force look foolish.
(Look no further than the total police dysfunction of the Nova Scotia murder of 22 persons)and the response of those in charge Commissioner Brenda Lucki. Lucki has admitted that none of the recommendations made have been acted upon.
The RCMP pays little or no attention to commissions, recommendations and other information that would improve policing. There is no oversight requiring them to do anything.
Instead they are weighed down by COM departments and overseers that don't do much in the way of policing except issuing p.r. reports.
A tough go for a person that is sincerely interested in police work.

Where does it say the accused are addicts ? It doesnt . Stick to facts . Ppl without homes is not the same as ppl who are addicts. That is bigotry in its clearest form labeling everyone in a broad stroke as the same . Tsk tsk

Not only that , how transient are they if they in the same town a year later ? Wonder why they are not saying where these ppl were found , could it be they had homes ?

In my opinion all individuals accused of anything involving violence or threats to society like fire bugs and such should be placed in jail. Save the jails for the violent offenders.

Yeah not homeless drug addicts, just professional thieves with homes, that single out teenagers for there bikes, shoes and cell phones, then give him a beat down. Guaranteed these are addicts and they shouldn't be hard to find. Still here over a year later, because this city with all it's bleeding hearts likes to coddle these people and give them everything they need to function here.why would they leave? The courts aren't even going to punish them for either the charge or not showing up for court you watch.

By the looks of these two criminals i dont see signs of them being hard drug addicts , they look pretty healthy to me , no sores , no signs of malnutrition , well groomed , clear eyes .
