All on purpose.

I could offer an explanation, true or not: Is this the area invaded by Russia a few years ago, occupied by Russians, used by Russians to attack Ukraine? and Ukraine would like the Russians to go back to the other side of their border?

Regardless, targeting civilian targets should be a war crime. The won-ton slaughter of Ukrainian citizens by Russians in once occupied towns is repugnant and truly hope the ones that pulled the trigger have their comeuppance, sooner than later.

I don't think civilians who have been dying for nine years thanks to Ukies just because they want to speak Russian language really care for explanation. They have been shelled for nine years.

Go ahead and ignore all the evidence of just ONE shelling- may be you can make an argument that the church or the hospital started it first

Still sipping from the same well, I see. There's all sorts of anecdotal video evidence that shows how Russian backed rebels have been attempting to enrage the folks in Donbas/Crimea for years. Good ole "Motorola" used to launch grenades in the morning to "wake up" the residents.

I see all sorts of evidence to suggest the people of Donbas aren't really all that keen on what the rebels and Russians have been doing there. Including Russia's recent mobilization of riot police to suppress resistance in the occupied areas. If they're so happy to have the Russian's there and so against Ukraine, why are they blowing stuff up?

It's hard to draw any firm conclusions based on a few pictures and a couple odd video clips. Especially when they come from someone that you know is mindlessly regurgitating his spoon-fed Russophilia, but if I were to draw a conclusion off of one video clip today, I would say Kelowna is far closer to "giving up" than Kyiv is.

Well, you don't see Vlad the destroyer walking the streets today. Even Shoigu stayed 80 km's behind the lines in Crimea during his "everything is going according to plan" tour. Don't blame them, it's a tough scene to witness. At least the stray dogs have found an abundant food source. So, there is that - the Russian offensive into Bakhmut hasn't been entirely for nothing. Grisly though it may be, it is providing some relief to the abandoned animals in the area.

$12bil to arms industry to build new stuff, to replace stuff sent to Ukraine
$9bil to US army to train Ukies
$7bil to US army European command, to manage everything
$16bil for Ukie humanitarian support and budget funding
$2bil to resettle refugees in the US.

I certainly don't think the Russians expected this. But probably most surprised by the European, and especially German reaction.

Interesting though that its the Russians who are portrayed as dumb, inept etc. Begs the question of just what our billions paid for if we can't even beat the military equivalent of the 3 stooges.

If the fight is within 1500 miles of the Chinese mainland, then yes, they could take on NATO.
