Come on. In your day to day life how often does it come up? It's much ado about nothing. Not being sure on gender is the same thing as when you forgot someone's name, you still communicate with them fine. And when they give you a clue how they prefer to be addressed you run with it. It's so not a big deal unless you're a super snowflake.

People do not want to reinforce stupidity. One-hundred percent of people use He and She, Her and Him, on a regular basis, and those pronouns will never be obsolete.

On the other-hand, few people use unpopular, unknown, un-standard, amateur-nouns, borne from confusion, which are hardly ever used in a personal conversation anyways, especially in a language other than English.

How many times has it actually come up in your life? Not on the blogs you frequent or a Fox News report, or what Peterson says. How many times has it come up in your actual real life? For me, ZERO. It's not an actual issue, it's just whining.
