I don't think so, English has a lot of advantages as a global lingua franca. Also China has huge systemic problems, there is little chance they could replace America as the global hegemon.

North Korea with the short fat little twit at the helm is a bigger worry.

However, Russia spends around 20% of the GDP on the military while Canada is a paltry 1.4% or so. And it shows in Canada:

Russia does not spend 20% of GDP on the military, even a cursory google search says 2021 was about 4%.

And yes, Canadian military procurement is an embarassing disaster.

Both China and the USA have more than enough nukes.
