The Liberals spend - and the conservatives spend. Making the innuendo that conservatives don't spend is a ball-face lie.

This will get real interesting real soon, Jagmeet will of course stand with the PSAC members.
pretty soon the Government (Twitdeau) will have to try and pass back to work legislation.
What will Jagmeet do ? Support PSAC members or the Trudeau Liberals.
Whichever way he goes will be either his end or Trudeau's end.
I'm just giddy with anticipation !!

Nope, conservatives are not spending any money. Only the new woke liberalism of trudeau is spending. More so than any other in recorded history. Oh, only one other, maybe.
Even taking into account, covid, and other ways of passing the buck, Trudeau and his government have destroyed canada more than any other.
We only wish trudeau could balance a budget like he promised, like he is so easy with spending us into debt.

Which Canadian prime minister spent the most money?
In Trudeau's time as prime minister, he has also overseen the second largest annual increases in per-person spending (6.8 per cent) since the Second World War, trailing only Louis St. Laurent, who was prime minister between 1949 and 1956.Liberals are horrible at running finances

There was runaway spending under Mulrooney and Harper. Again - stop the fantasy that the Liberals are the only ones that spend.

Again - stop the fantasy that the Liberals with the help of the NDP aren't spending Canada into oblivion. They are.

Rex Murphy: Jagmeet Singh just can't stop protecting Trudeau

The nexus of Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh is the major and central impediment to Canadian democracy.

All the talk about a public inquiry, the distraction of David Johnston’s involvement — for that is what at bottom Johnston’s appointment is — diverts from the main consideration.

Which is that Jagmeet Singh has rendered Justin Trudeau impervious to parliamentary oversight and accountability. How Mr. Singh untangles his stated desire for a public inquiry into Chinese government interference, and his party’s vote in the House of Commons for the same — from his iron support for the Trudeau government which defies both the parliamentary vote and Mr. Singh’s public support for that inquiry, is a riddle for Mr. Singh’s political conscience.

Singh has the power to withhold his support from the government and convince Trudeau of what is needed, and that Singh’s party has voted for. The same, necessary, public inquiry. It’s a power he refuses to exercise. How he reconciles this dance is less a puzzle than a gross self-contradiction.

If, Mr. Singh, on a matter of the integrity of Canadian elections being menaced by an authoritarian government, you cannot unhinge yourself and your party from the hidden compact with Mr. Trudeau, you have surrendered your right, and your party’s ability, to criticize him. Likewise you have surrendered the right to criticize this ridiculous attempt to pass on to David Johnston, the power to determine whether an inquiry should or must be held.

There is an old saying about sitting on the pot or getting off of it — which has vulgar implications which I will not trouble readers with the explicit details — but you are on that pot Mr. Singh and should either use it or allow someone else its relief.

You cannot be a warrior on Twitter and a full ally in the Commons. Make up what is pleasantly regarded as your mind.

Are you argueing this well proven fact?
Can you convince everyone here that it is false?
The posts are clear, statements are précise, trudeau is the biggest spender per person in all time. Its not about anyone else. Yes or no, stop trudeau deflecting.
The Liberal government is on track to log the five highest years of per-person spending in Canadian history, according to a new report from the Fraser Institute.

I don't think you'll get an answer to those questions.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Jagmeet Singh out of excuses for staying in Trudeau deal

This week will mark the federal NDP’s second attempt to compel Justin Trudeau to acquiesce to a public inquiry on foreign election interference. In March, the Conservatives and Bloc Québécois joined the NDP’s Opposition Day motion pressing him to do so, which was not binding, and was of course roundly ignored by the Prime Minister.

The Liberals demurred and sidestepped the motion by pointing to the ongoing work of special rapporteur David Johnston. “I think we should let him do his work,” said Justice Minister David Lametti.

Now, the results of Johnston’s work are in and opposition parties’ fears were proven right all along. There is still no meaningful transparency on election interference or growing concerns about the intimidation of MPs.

Add to that concerns about Johnston’s impartiality, which even Singh now acknowledges. To clarify for some senior Liberals who either can’t or won’t grasp the meaning of conflict of interest — Johnston doesn’t need to actually be compromised; the appearance that he may be is enough to render him unfit. This is even more true in such a delicate and trust-based position as his.

If NDP leader Jagmeet Singh is going to show he’s serious about protecting Canadian democracy, the time is now. This week, his party will again file an Opposition Day motion not just demanding a public inquiry, but also for Johnston to “step aside.” It will almost certainly once again be supported by the Conservatives and the Bloc.

If the motion is indeed passed, and Trudeau once again ignores it, Singh will have the ultimate opportunity to prove he’s serious about the issue. He can, and should, walk away from the confidence-and-supply agreement.

After all the multiple times Sell-out COULD have walked away from Putz, and yet did not, doing so now will not save a shred of his credibility or honour. He smells of graft, corruption and pollution.

He has shown his true colours throughout his unholy alliance with the filthy JT Libs and no waterfall in the world can wash him clean of the stains.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

And the stink of his rabid enviro-lunacy is also rampant too. The NDP claims to be the party of the poor and downtrodden, and yet they support taxing the poor into oblivion in the name of fairy tales.
