Our streets damp. Better than nothing though as it somewhat cleared the air

That was one crazy hail storm tonight! Largest hail I've ever seen.

It's 0300 and I just came in from outside to check for evidence of rain downtown and found none.

In Rutland we had a few brief sprinkles, but it cleared the air of the smoke. While waiting for dog to do his business outside last night, I was treated to quite the light show. Lighting taking up half the sky . . .

I woke up to beautiful sunshine this morning, and the air is so clear!

I also woke up to puddles in our basement stairwell and a husband who was concerned that the irrigation may have some issues. But after checking around, the ground is quite wet and I'd have to say it looks like there was a substantial rainstorm while I was sleeping . . .

Nothing in Kamloops, barely even a cloud.

Got wet and cold this morning watering garden plants when a downpour in Vernon happened. Very sudden, lasted 5 minutes but was soaked to the skin.

Now I am in the midst of a snowstorm on my deck with :cuss: elm seeds from a 50 foot high Siberian elm tree at the corner on next block …. It’s shedding like crazy into a blustery breeze. Deck completely covered, again, with those freakin’ seeds!! Every nook and cranny is filled with seeds including the screen door tracks. Yuk. Yech!

How i detest Siberian elms

Drove home from Vernon on the Commonage Road route hoping for dramatic weather.
None was to be had. Cloud formations adjusting their skirts to floating on by.
A smattering of rain lasting 35 seconds and sun.

I got a whole bunch of yard work done, then came in for a break and it poured. Love that! Good - unintentional - timing.
