You do understand what a "filibuster" is, don't you ? It's a form of parliamentary obstruction, intended to delay or entirely prevent decision.

"After NDP House leader Peter Julian suggested at committee last week that, working at the current pace, it could take the panel of MPs years to complete clause-by-clause, he confirmed to reporters on Monday that his party will provide the votes needed for this motion to pass.

"The Conservatives just need to stop filibustering, 20 minutes per amendment is sufficient. Conservatives spent five hours on an amendment that was seven sentences," Julian said during a scrum on the Hill. "And I'll just remind Conservatives that under the Harper government, we had one minute per amendment… So the Conservatives have been hypocritical all along on this, they really need to get where law enforcement is, which is adopting this bill.""

Trying to claim the moral high ground because the CPC has been called on their shady tactics is not a mission that will bear fruit.
So you think Dick can make a proper determination of what he's voting for when there are 100+ amendments that haven't even been discussed?

I guess in a dopey leftist world, just voting as Justin Trudeau demands is "proper."

Dick is representing the wishes of Justin Trudeau, not his constituents.

This is funny. No, actually, it's sad.

Dick says in his column that heat deaths are bad. But his close confidant, friend, and NDP colleague Horgan says, "Too bad, so sad, people are dead, get over it."
We need investments that protect Canadians, so they do not see their homes wash away on a storm surge, investments in heat pumps that would allow low-income Canadians to have air conditioning so we will not have a repeat of the 619 people who died during the heat dome in metro Vancouver last year and investments in FireSmart programs to protect neighbourhoods located at the interface with forests.

When asked about the fatalities, Horgan emphasized “a matter of personal responsibility” citizens have in keeping themselves cool, adding that “fatalities are a fact of life.”
Meanwhile, when groups and First Nations want to do prescribed burns to protect communities and restore natural habitats, Dick and his NDP pals raise a fuss over carbon dioxide from these burns.

What a mess Dick and the NDP are. You have to envy those who will no longer be stuck with him after the boundary changes.

What? Dickie tried to stop the Indigenous from practicing safe forest practices on their lands because of some stupid fairy tale? Could you get much dumber than that??? WOW

They even talked about charging carbon tax on burns, effectively banning Indigenous and forest safety burns. Can you fathom the stupidity of the vile NDP?

I just can't believe anyone could be this stupid. Could one of Dickie's supporters who love him so much explain to the rest of us why Dickie hates the Indigenous and wants to see them perish in a cataclysmic forest fire because he doesn't want them practicing good forest management? Anyone?

We see so many truly stupid things being inflicted on society by losers pushing this man-made climate change hoax, but Dickie deliberately imperiling the Indigenous in the name of his evil sky genie beliefs really takes the cake. Talk about colonialism!

Dick's being asked to do his job by constituents, and if he can't, resign.

Is that too much to ask?

Dick just decided that you need to owe another $4,200 this year, as if our current debt load just isn't enough to bankrupt us.

Thanks for that, Dick. Your de facto leader Justin is proud of you for destroying our children's future.

Most people who read your post will just pass on this because they are not even engaged enough in political issues to even understand how Government debt impacts their lives and more importantly, their children and grandchildren. We are in large part to blame for this by letting public sector unions.....and the BCTF in particular......take control of the narrative. We need to move back towards reality and away from experimental social engineering which is quite obviously not fixing the problem.

the topic is Dick Cannings

and he has a sign on the door of his Penticton office that says "due to precautionary measures this office will be closed
to the public"

and I call him three times leaving a message on his phone wanting to know if he really did vote for the filthiest
travel restrictions ever - on ten million Canadians

and he doesn't call me back each time

does that mean Dick Cannings is not doing his job, cheating the people who voted for him? Basically stealing our money?

Or perhaps they will pass because the post contains no links or reference to what he's actually talking about ? Seriously, when 99% percent of of a poster's comments are just name calling and whining, I'm supposed to go digging for relevance where it has rarely existed before ?
