It won’t take long with hot temperatures to bring fire risk back upwards.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

In the meantime, though, things are greening up beautifully!

Gawd, it's rather coastal out there.
Vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom, sharpened a chainsaw, took the garbage down, Load of laundry in. Petted and fussed over the dogs, loaded mouse traps, now what?

Watching the grass grow.
I was in the bush yesterday helping get some firewood. Amazingly green out there. Going to be some happy cattle in their range.
That will all be dried up in a few months though.

Okay, so we had a 9 day heat wave, so I calculated the average temperature... and wouldn't you know it, Kelowna was hotter than Osoyoos over the 9 days (though a little cooler if we look at fewer days)! And we are talking about UBCO which is 150m higher than the lower parts of the city!

Seewood, Frisk, and GordonH were having a massive fight yesterday about the heatwave. Frisk was saying that the 17th was the hottest day of the heatwave and GordonH and seewood were claiming the 17th was actually the coldest day of the entire 9 day heatwave!

Lady tehMa doesn't like fighting so she eventually messaged me to quickly make a graph or two that would settle this dispute. I made a graph and realized Seewood in Nelson and GordonH in Osoyoos were just as right as Frisk in Ashcroft because... and I hate to sound woke... it was all relative to where you lived, so they were all right.

On average, across BC the 16th was the hottest day, but someone was experiencing their hottest day each of the 9 days of the heatwave.

An oldtimer told me one time that when things start looking really green it means hail. Look at the colors here:

Amazing morning out there today, I feel a lot better today than yesterday.
Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?
