Tonite I saw a plane, flying low over the city edge, perhaps on it’s way to Kelowna? I see those flights all the time, but at higher altitude

What was going on? Even late into evening I could hear choppers bashing the air until almost dark.
We had high winds all day long followed by a spattering of rain, then suddenly, completely calm.
