So you don't think the effects of climate change are going to get worse ? You don't think that what we do today will have repercussions years and decades down the road ?

Re: Alberta
Whether or not the effects of climate change "get worse" (note the vague but alarmist terminology) depends largely on whether we start preparing sensibly for the most likely negative effects of a changing climate, or continue mindlessly pouring our resources into environmentally destructive and economy-destroying efforts to control CO2 emissions to "control climate change". Destroying the environment and the economy to prevent catastrophe is akin to tossing people into a volcano to prevent catastrophe. It makes no sense.fluffy wrote: Oct 3rd, 2023, 3:49 am So you don't think the effects of climate change are going to get worse ?
Of course what we do today will have repercussions years and decades down the road. We're already seeing the direct effects of climate change alarmism on the global environment, the Canadian environment, and the Alberta environment and the global economy, the Canadian economy, and Alberta's economy - thanks to gullible people mindlessly targeting Alberta's natural resources thinking they must do so for the greater good.fluffy wrote:You don't think that what we do today will have repercussions years and decades down the road ?
Alberta is refusing to "call uncle", thank goodness, standing up and roaring "enough". Good on them!

In 1971, "the science" was Dr. Stephen Schneider et al telling us to prepare for the coming ice age. Indignant the government wasn't taking him seriously, he switched gears when "the science" made it more convenient to prevent CAGW. Great marketing plan for him. Bad outcome for us - and Alberta has had enough of it.fluffy wrote: Oct 2nd, 2023, 3:29 amThe time for us all to contribute started a long while ago. The science of human caused global warming was there in the 1950s, but got brushed aside for the sake of profits and convenience. Nobody listened. Now look where we are, and people are still advocating for business as usual, some even want more business.liisgo wrote: Oct 1st, 2023, 2:28 pm Thats why I asked you some questions that you do not seem to want to answer. No one has to wait and just hate others that are being more realistic about time frames, abilities, infrastructures, cost's, etc. Your opportunity to contribute started a while ago.

Why would they? The "effects" of the climate changing naturally are not going to "get worse".fluffy wrote: Oct 3rd, 2023, 3:49 am So you don't think the effects of climate change are going to get worse ?
You know its a dark time in America when
leftist thugs are attacking US officers and
gullible fools are supporting the leftist thugs.
if you go to a protest with a loaded gun, because you love child rapists, then you're a scumbag and a bonehead.

Smith is exactly what is needed for a realistic approach, thats is why she is the leader of the province and Notley is not. Same reason Trudeau has destroyed the liberalist movement for decades to come.

Can reduce Global Emissions by 12% if China replaces Coal with Natural Gas.
Time to stand up and help China shift away from Thermal Coal.
Make a difference with your life.

Until there can be sound coherent argument made for continuing to waste hundreds of billions of dollars "fighting" this unproven potential menace, there's not much more to say. Axe the tax, and all the lunatics who think the sky is falling due to some unproven scientific hypothesis can move to Venezuela.fluffy wrote: Oct 4th, 2023, 4:30 am

Great news - Canada gets even more oil revenue to fund our insanely high social welfare programs. Great job. All the while making Bowl-cut boy Guilbeault and his army of idiots and lunatics angry. Answer that yourself, please. Can anything be done today to help?? And then describe what you have done. See something that many of you bring into this is the complete lack of examples. If every liberal did what they want others to be forced to do would it make a difference??? There are maybe 30 % of people virtue signalling along with Trudeau, yet non have done a single thing to start the change. You see the problem?fluffy wrote: Oct 3rd, 2023, 3:49 am So you don't think the effects of climate change are going to get worse ?
