YOUR WORDS

Now you try to play victim after being called out for being stereotyping and bigotry in your opinions that you could not validate in one factual way.

You made your bed, people didn't really agree with your bigotry. Try to move on.

However perhaps you feel it's sidelined real discussion about the parties to the NDP advantage, though only showing the true NDP personality.

And the accusations keep flying. I am not the NDP. I can think and feel however I like and state it too. There are parts of the NDP that I don't like too. I am not beholden to any party. Seems many of you here are.

Well I for one distrust all politicians, but none more so than the NDP.

They show their true colors again and again, and yet still manage to con sheeple into voting for them.

What we have currently is even worse than the 90's NDP, given the deficit, and their usual, tax and spend like the money will never run out motto.

It's scary how much damage Eby has done in such a short time span. :200:

IF not them then farther and more extremist. But the second we discussed election, and the BC Cons having a surge you came running with slander and bigotry about them, with not one single example to back up you belief. A rather interesting timing.......and usual NDP campaign tactic. Bigotry.

You quacked like a duck and the rest called you a duck.....now you want to act attacked for being a duck. We've seen all your posts, all your hate, we just said...."oh look a duck"

rustled wrote: Mar 27th, 2024, 3:18 pm Public statements about how fundamentalists might make the BC Conservative Party "force" policies on others aren't benign.

These publicly stated fears about what the BC Conservatives "might" do are open to public critique.

These public statements suggesting what the BC Conservatives "might" do "because religion" show stereotyping and bigotry.

Heading into the BC election, it's no surprise to see people making rather silly partisan statements about what a party "might" do. One hopes voters will be more sensible than to swallow silly partisan nonsense, and there's nothing to be gained by allowing publicly stated silly partisan nonsense to stand uncritiqued.
Sooo, you all can state "silly partisan nonsense" but NOT take critique? Uh huh.
The suggestion my posts regarding efforts to "paint" the BC Conservatives in a scary light aren't open to critique is rather silly. Critique away!
LovemyBolt wrote:If whatever impressionable readers might happen across this thread see your "silly partisan nonsense", they can come to their own conclusions. You all can't see in the mirror that you're all parroting conservative lines yourselves?
That's a rather shallow critique, IMO. Grouping several disparate posters' posts together and complaining about the posters' collective lack of self-awareness (ironic!) seems to be a symptom of the partisan stereotyping we see deployed during election campaigns. It's unlikely we won't see this tactic used more and more ahead of the BC election.

I doubt anyone reading these posts will fail to notice just how much stereotyping goes into these anti-Conservative posts, and how silly much of it truly is. Whether or not this tactic succeeds in swaying voters remains to be seen.

I always wondered what duck a l'orange was.

The NDP is full of bigots. One need only look at the deeply-rooted anti-Semitism from the NDP/CUPE decrees and actions of late to seal that deal.

The problem being a bigot is that people start assuming you're wrong about things you might be right about, and you actually turn people AWAY from the policies you like

IF you actually want people to care about the environment, maybe stop being a bigot.

Bigots never give examples, they just talk about the scary Boogie man that everyone else knows doesn't exist in the real world

Bigots are the kings of deflection - just look at Trudeau's non-answers for proof of that! And if people wonder if ol' Blackface is a bigot, well, the evidence shows otherwise.

The left has attracted the worst of the bigots over the last decade or so. The bigots used to belong to fringe secular groups, but they've gone mainstream now and the left have welcomed their support with open arms.

Baffling.

Never mind the BC Cons aren't a bible party, just called one as the left LOVES campaign bigotry, so out it comes.
Thanks for pointing that out. People who blindly blast ignorance at one group yet ignore a similar group need a good long look in the mirror.

BTW, one goes away for 24 hours and half a dozen pages are added. Pages of what?
I think I'll pass on those ones, wait for common sense to return.

It's astonishing to me that everybody here thinks I post on behalf of the entire left of the political spectrum. Like the entire left of the political spectrum got together and took a poll and nominated me, some anonymous punter on the internet, to be that one and only one spokesperson. Seriously. That's what all of you are saying. It's laughable.
No one tells me what to say and think. Everybody has there way of making their own decisions that work for them. I have my sweeping generalization of what I think of a segment of any conservative party. Knowing that that segment finds a home in a conservative party, I won't vote for such a party.
Some religious organizations do excellent works. Union Gospel and Salvation Army for two simple examples. I admire them. I obviously don't agree with the thing they believe in but they seem motivated to do good works. They walk the walk of what some parts of their book say are good things to do for people.

In reality, it's highly illogical to claim everybody here thinks one poster posts on behalf of the entire left of the political spectrum.

That is the sort of stereotyping that gets in the way of clear thinking, and this sort of stereotyping is pretty noticeable in these "anti-Conservative" posts. We're likely to see more of it heading into the BC election.

It's the same illogic from so many here including yourself saying that my posts somehow represent the entire left of the political spectrum. That's the drum everybody has been beating. Laughably illogical. In reality.

Quote where I've said that, please. TIA. Seems most likely this is a deflection from having used stereotypes to support an "anti-Conservative" stance. We're likely to see more of this sort of deflection when posters are held to account for partisan anti-Conservative stereotyping heading into the BC election.

I'm not deflecting. Yup...anti-party-that-includes-religious-fundamentalists-that-naturally-gravitate-to-such-parties all the way to breakfast. Duck, stereotype, bigot...don't care. That's a party I won't vote for. No deflection necessary.
