Re: NHL
Yeah, I think they'll make the playoffs, but I don't think they will win the division like they did last year. Lankinen is getting overused, because there's no trust in Silovs. Demko had his first full practice a few days ago, so he might be back fairly soon. They could use an upgrade on D, but they have cap space to do something about that at the deadline.

Re: NHL
Canucks were up 4-1 with three minutes remaining in the game. They found a way to lose 5-4 in OT.
I hope the fans expressed their displeasure in the letdown and Tocchet apologizes.

What a depressing week of hockey this has been for me. But hey, one of my teams finally got a win. Blazers 3, Rockettes 1.

Glad he did catch three! I was thinking four, although he is a superstar! LOL.GordonH wrote: ↑Jan 20th, 2025, 8:02 pm Shocker McDavid gets 3 game suspension.

It goes beyond when you use your stick like a weapon that's over the top. Players expect to get hit, they know as a superstar they will get grabbed and rolled. Body contact is still great! They give you sometime suspensions for head shots, like the big lad from New York. Why not these two??
This incident like Myers could potentially cause grievance bodily harm, or permanent damage. Players didn't sign up for that!
By law even a fist fight behind a bar. IF a individual is permanently maimed one can be charged criminally.
This stick stuff, has to stop. I don't mind a good fight, again when the loser goes to the ice. That is the end of the altercation. Just my thoughts.

Re: NHL
Yes I agree. Although if there would have been a severe injury we have a serious problem. Players know the sport is physical. They are professionals, they don't get paid enough to have someone assault them with a stick!
Not sure why but, McDavid would have gotten the same level of attention by hauling off and punching the opponent in the jaw. ack to
I think back to Todd Bertuzzi–Steve Moore incident, it was Criminal.
In this same case if McDavid would have cause bodily harm, he too could be investigated Criminally. There is no room in the game in my opinion for this.
I did play hockey, not quite at that level, I never would have used my stick on another player!

Shame shame.
Hate policy fine, but have some class. The players have nothing to do with it treat them proper.
