Private Health Care/Disability Coverage
As my husband is self employed we have decided to look into getting some kind of private disability coverage (stuff that normally would be included in employee benefits for a full time employee) but i don't know where to start. Anyone know of any companies that I could contact for pricing and coverage packages??

Great West Life
Blue Cross
I know that London Drugs sell insurance for that purpose as well. If you are an AMEX card holder they too offer extended services.

Thanks Trip. I didn't know about Amex. I'll mention it to my husband. I dont' think Blue Cross offers the extended (disability/life), but I will chck out Great West Life as well.

If you're husband joins his company to the Chamber of Commerce, they offer a group plan for members. The rate for insurance stays fairly reasonable because you're joining a larger group, rather than as a single. However I'm not sure what it costs to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Blue Cross as suggested by previous poster will probably be the best bet for you.
