Re: Pet Peeves
And from Gertrude Butterbean aka "Gertie" lmaoooo, there is a lot of online info on this subject!
As far as myself goes, the placement of toilet paper is a non-issue since I just set the roll on the back of my toilet on top of my Popular Mechanic magazines. If I'm going to have guests that I want to impress (the preacher or my nickel poker buddies), I might slide the roll down on the plunger next to the toilet to give my bathroom that rustic look.
Anyway, back to the question - what's the "right" way to hang the toilet paper? After polling folks on the Internet, up there at Winn Dixie, over at Wal-Mart, and down yunder at the post office, I found out:
51% of folks hang it with the paper dangling over the top.
24% hang it with the paper dangling at the back.
14% of folks say that they hang it whichever way they can get it on the roll the fastest.
11% ain't got no toilet paper holder.
1% said, "Daggum, I'm a guy! I don't know how to change that toilet paper thang!"
Less than 1% (actually 0.03%) didn't know what toilet paper was.

Posters who cut and paste a news article instead of just providing a link to it.

A generation of *I don't know what to call them* coming forth from our educational system at the university level who can't write a decent paragraph, punctuate, or even spell properly.

People who post a question on an online forum instead of just googling it (I'm only thinking of those questions that are easily answered by search engines, ie who is the current US president  )

You know, I prefer the cut and pasted article. Plus the link of course.Bsuds wrote:Posters who cut and paste a news article instead of just providing a link to it.
My reasoning is that links go dead sometimes so you always have the information that is being discussed. I would however prefer there to be more distinctiveness between the article and the posters thoughts.

Being hungry when the cupboards are bare and there's nothing to eat but the toasted corn nuts you've been snacking on all evening and you're in your pajamas and don't feel like leaving the apartment and are just trying to keep yourself mildly amused before you begin to feel tired and can go to bed and ignore your growling stomach.

When they are forecasting a high of 19 degrees in Kelowna and the current temperature is 20. Shouldn't they re-forecast? Lazy weather persons.
