Left/Right Brained Religous/Not Test

Post by nolanrh »

So. Take the test and post left or right brained. (If you can make it go the other way by focussing, great but please indicate your first tendency). Include whether you consider yourself religous or not.

Let's not debate the meaning of religious in this thread and rely on elementary school's infallible: "choose the BEST answer"

Clockwise = Right-sided
Anti-Clockwise = Left-sided

Myself:
Right-sided, non-religous.

Someone posted a thread about that a while back, I can visualize it going whichever way I please, I think there were others that could do that as well, it has nothing to do with religion.

I can see her go either way. Religious, and analytical.

I can see it go both ways but when I first looked at it the dancer was going anti clockwise.

Non religious.

Initial look = CW, but as soon as my eyes went to the text she went ACW. After 20 seconds or so I could see her rotate either way at will.

Non-religious.

I am wondering why they call it anti-clockwise instead of counter-clockwise.

Greek, it has been around a wee tad longer than American-English!

Edited Latin for Greek. My bad.
Latin 'anti-' = before
Greek 'ant' ar 'anti-' = opposed

Anti- (counter) clockwise.
Left brained.
Non-religious.

Initially I saw it go clockwise (right side) but I was able to see it move in both directions.
[edited to add] non-religous
This division of left and right is very general as studies in nueral plasticity have shown brain geography is in constant flux (neurons that fire together wire together/neurons that fire apart wire apart) and functions of consciousness compete for brain real estate (use it or lose it). I would recomend that anyone interested in consciousness, the mind, the brain, positive thinking, teaching, learning, etc. should read "The Brain That Changes Itself" by Norman Doidge.
