Baphomet
I figure this might get some religious people or dooms day diligents spinning in their computer chairs...
Has anyone else noticed that Chevy is using Baphomet in one of its promotions ( a commercial on TV) for the '09 Chevy Traverse? Or am I mistaken?

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Nope, They are mutually exclusive. I don't believe in Baph, nor do I expect city hall to erect a display in it's honor.
P.S. Baphomet isn't satanic...FYI.

you don't believe in "baph" yet you have a pet name for it and a poster on your wall at home.
and who implied baphomet is satanic?
anyhoo, i appreciate the commercial for the traverse depicts a minotaur that posesses a striking similarity to the appearance of baphoment. however there appears to be medusa in the same commercial.
a minotaur is not a god, medusa is, and so is baphomet. it would make sense that whoever made the commercial stuck to the whole god theme.
they obviously did this on purpose to get people talking.

I think you read too much into the message the commercial was trying to portray.

That's a lovely picture.
Where oh where’d my body go?
Africa or Mexico?
Where or where’d my body go?
Where’d my body go?
Have you seen my ghost?
Staring at the ground?
Have you seen my ghost?
Sick of those *bleep* clouds
