I'm an Atheist

Is there a god? What is the meaning of life?

You know, I think the christians and catholics should take all those crosses down.

When Jesus comes back, your going to scare the crap out of him!

True dat. If there is a god, he/she/it must have one heck of a sense of humour. Look at the way we turned out.
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

That's because you mixed up the G's and D's.

So we should believe in a dog for the same reasons we should pick up our God's poo?

Good comparison kc, and I'm sure everyone agrees that dog poo exists... albeit sometimes on the bottom of your shoes, and dog poo is like the truth... both will reveal themselves in the end... come to think of it, sometimes the truth stinks, too... both can be left for others to find, yet can give you warmth... if you look for either you might not like what you find... without looking sometimes you'll still discover them by accident... I think that's about it :runforlife:

I believe in Dogs.

Of course, this one's a little dodgy...

Wow... that's really something. All I set out to do was use a silly illustration (actually relative to recent observations on our sidewalks lol) to point out that people are by nature flawed and selfish, and that the principle of being respectful (good) doesn't end when no one is looking. It would seem that some need guidance to stay on a good course, which has more potential to yield good results over bad.

Therefore, I don’t feel it is a flaw to want to look for guidance from God; in fact, it requires humility, which is a strength, not a weakness.
