ya know....
what i know of someone's god named Thor i basically know from that comic and the kid TV animated show. for the thory of Thor to continue to today in a medium of a Marvel comic..
may render it as a manuscript one future day to form a new 'bible' in the Thor legend/religion, (the artists and writers being scribes)..
..or it (the comic) in itself, is a bible. (the artists and writers being priests)
parables, stories, legends..
to pass down the essence of the message.

Doh! I appear to be mixing up my Greek and Norse mythology, however, you still have be a worthy warrior who died in battle to get into Valhalla, so I dunno how many scientists are gonna be there. If there is a sudden rash of scientists getting speared to death, Odin might let them into Valhalla, seeing as how Odin had some weird bias for those killed by spears.
