In keeping with a Morningstar bit from a couple years ago......
You're a long time Vernonite if you can remember:
The Centerville bookstore: (what was it's proper name)

Crawling around the ruins of the old school house on the main road up to Silver Star.
Spend some time and money on establishing an Estate plan, a Legal Will, your wishes and who is the Executor. Watch Grant of Probate videos. Understand the process to help yourself and loved ones.

Does anyone remember the song (I think there were actually two) that was on the jukebox the entire time the place was there? They would put in new records, but a couple of songs always stayed...

This is a great thread! I'm not a Vernonite but I remember Eatons, lol. We used to go there before Kelowna got their own Eatons.

Anybody remember the old radio remote show from the look out from CJIB? One time we heard our Uncle on it. (We were expecting him).
Trying to remember what they called out.

Nope, CKAL had the location up the hill there, but CJIB did the remote bits at the lookout, and were doing it before CKAL existed.

Yes. They used to do it from the Kal Lake lookout. I think they would just talk to whoever was there.
I remember one day it was Jim Byrnes. Don't remember what it was called though....hmmmm...reaching way back....
