How many navigate their driving by "where xxxx used to be."?

Confuses my wife to noend, as she's new here. :127:

Of course, I have a 20 year gap in my Vernonite history while I lived at the coast. I would come up here to visit a lot, but you don't get all the detail. So I too get some of the confusing "Oh, just turn where "xxxx" used to be, where that "xxxx" has come and gone in my abscence.

You mean like "Turn left at Eatons". I don't even know what is there now. In my head, it's still Eatons.

Nature's Fair and Bookland. Massage school above it.

Of course, depending on how long you've been around, Bookland has been in several different locations too. Original was a crappy little show across from the Bus Depot.

Vernon's Chinatown was a cool place to hang out. Anyone remember the PM market on the corner? How about the nightclub in the basement of the Goon Hong? Lot's of fun at the beaches,Polson Park and Magnetic hill :spinball:

Yup. I don't remember what it was called originally, but at one point, it was a teen disco.

Ventured took me out there a couple years ago and we walked around the track. Very cool! There are still tire marks on some of the walls.
