The BC BIG-DAILIES - Vancouver Sun and Province and Victoria Times-Colonist, etc - are all owned by Canwest holdings. They are being crippled by decreased advertising and internet, radio and television competition. They have been shucking aside journalists for quite some time. In fact, most graduates of BC journalist programmes are siging on with the 250 member, Public Affairs Bureau, which funnels Lib propaganda at public expense.

How will the above effect coverage in the BIG-DAILIES? The secret agenda of the PAB-luminaries is: control of all BC media. They can do that by advertising in the BIG-DAILIES, not for effect but to ensure that they follow the Lib line. And with knowledge of both the closure of such large North American newspapers as the Seattle Post Intelligencer and Denver's Rocky Mountain News, and the ascendancy of Stalinist organs like the PAB-luminaries, pundits know that the PAB vomit spew agency could be their future employer. It is realistic to expect that many BIG-DAILY Lib-doormat "Journalists" will be more likely to discard impartiality and objectivity and report election news, as if they are preparing a Resume for work with the PAB-luminaries. I forsee 24-7 attacks on the NDP and Greens, if not the Conservatives, while the Libs enjoy puff-piece utopia.

It is proper for Castanet's columnists, who are not leveraged by either Canwest or PABagandists, to identify the PAB job applicants who pose as "journalists." If media personnel fear loss of their homes, they will sell out their principles. If Canwest is about to die, then its employees will have to go somewhere, and Gordon Campbell will likely want to pad his North Korean style "Great Leader" hagiography machine with Canwest fodder.

Moody’s Investors Service has downgraded Canwest Media Inc., a key part of Canwest Global Communications Corp., and said it’s unlikely it will repay $30.4 million of interest due today.

The Winnipeg-based media company is heading toward its latest deadline to make the overdue note payment to bondholders, who hold $761 million US in debt — about one-fifth Canwest’s total debt.

The company also has an extended April 21 deadline from the secured lenders, who could demand immediate repayment.

Canwest has received several extensions on its repayment deadlines partly because it has shown lenders that it’s struggling to sell off non-core assets in a difficult environment.

Some observers have suggested the company is only making futile attempts to find buyers, and has practically given up on the sale process.

Further, Serbs were claiming that foreign Islamofascists had incited jihad against Christians at huge rallies in Bosnia. Video which proved Serb claims was withheld from broadcast. NATO's intervention had nothing to do with the media's politicking(if that is what you are suggesting), but everything to do with the UN's desperate behests. The UN's mandate was severely limited and grossly inadequate to deal with the collective atrocities of all factions involved. Colonel Bob Stewart of UNPROFOR's(UN Protection Force) BRITBAT(British Battalion) was forced to 'break' the mandate by using offensive 'protection' measures just to protect the so-called protectors. At times the Serb's and the HOS(Croatian Nazi-esque 'unnoficial' army) thought that they were being unfairly targeted by the UN. The truth is that the British were walloping anyone that were foolish enough to engage them. Some would argue that the UN's neutrality and mandate was compromised by the proactive(offensive) military stance of BRITBAT, and certainly, the Serb's played on it to the max. The result was that NATO was engaged to take care of business beyond the UN's mandate.
