Do we have a choice? Do I have a choice in if you will elaborate the question?

I didn't know you like playing the part of a coy school girl  , kicking your heels in the dirt and worrying about your makeup while you wait for big Steven to come pick you up in his shiny convertible.

Fine, okay, whatever. :127:

When the time comes, just make sure to hang one of your stocking on the thread subject so I don't disturb you two lovebirds. :136: :runforlife:

LOL, I wouldn't have known if you hadn't told me. Not that "cute" is a term I would normally use toward a man. But whatever turns your crank ;-)

Are you implying that you're a floozy?!

I can go post for irrelevant post with you until you answer the question, about elaborating your question not re: being a floozy (that much is obvious :spinball: )

Does this thread feel like a bunch of pikeys set up camp in it and then started to discard broken washing machines and car parts all over its fringes? I'm just wondering because its starting to feel that way to me.

I also remember something about Fabian numbers? Or was it Fibonacci?

Spot on!
We have been losing our freedoms one by one over the last 10 - 20 years.
I belive that government is slowly further enslaving the people with ever increasing taxes regulation & fees, the word Fascism is the perfect fit for what we now live under.
Government is now over 60% of our entire economy, taxes take 59% of our hard earned money. And instead of government trying to reduce the size of the bureaucracy/size of government it reduces services & healthcare, adds user fees and cry's for more tax revenue.
The system is broken and people know it, that's why less than 50% of people go to the polls,
people know it makes no difference who is in power.
Government is not about working for the people, it's about controling the people and growing it's own size.
Nabcom wrote:Lifted from: http://www.singlesplus.net/fabian.htm

..trying to define the label of gaining "Democratic Fascism" by way of Fabian Fascism.

Seemed to fit Stevens frequent comments and prior siggy about the need for us to "evolve" politically. Hmmmm ;-)

****************************************

"The term Fabian comes from the name of a Roman General by the name of Fabius Maximus. Fabius Maximus was famous for his battles against the armies of Hannibal. Instead of a major frontal battle, Fabius beat him by small debilitating skirmishes that ate him one bite at a time -- small incremental wins; not a sudden overwhelming victory.

His name was used when the Fabian society was formed in England in 1884. This was a society to cause the British society to gradually change to Socialism, not by revolution, but by evolution: slow, unnoticeable, incremental steps.

Like boiling a frog. You can put a frog in a pan of cool water, and put it on slow heat. If you put him in hot water, he would jump right out. But in the cool water he is content to feel the warmth as the heat is added gradually. He never does jump out. The water finally reaches boiling, and the frog dies before he realizes what happened.

So when I say that our freedom is being slowly eroded by Fabian Fascism, (Edit: or Fabian Socialism??? Nab) I mean that the government is slowly, almost imperceptibly taking control, not by confiscating the assets, but by making rules and laws and court decisions to take control of society and of our freedoms, including the freedom to practice religion (Edit: or not? Nab) as we choose."

Fine, I take back "slutting around" but that doesn't change the fact you were out cruising other threads in your lamborgini, picking up real girls in mini skirts. Ok, ok, just Al C. and Homeownertoo, I guess they count.
