Oh ya the crazy glue works like a charm. In the winter my hands crack pretty bad and it stop further cracking giving it a chance to heal. Cuts too. Covers the would with an artificial scab and speeds healing. Give it a try you'll be amazed

I've had dry cracked feet for years..nothing helped (course I go sockless all summer) last fall I recieved a pair of 'acorn' boiled wool slippers for my birthday..they were so yummy and warm I wore them all winter..sockless..my feet became soft like a baby's bottom :ohmygod: cracks and crusty skin all gone!!! too hot to wear them now so my feet are reverting to their formerly crusty state :( my husband always told me to wear pure wool socks..guess he was right..

The advertising logo on my Acorn slippers box went ' Acorn slippers..you will love them..and when they die, you will cry' and I will :dyinglaughing:

my heels are a mess too and absolutely horrible in summer as I sandal and barefoot it all the time. I've heard about that udderly cream and think I will try Buckerfield's. I have a question about toe fungus (sp.?) though, I believe my big toe has something pretty yucky growing there, the nail is turning yellow and I have tried clipping but it is very sore and it's really thick........any suggestons other than to the Dr.

Lanolin is the secret. Pure wool socks (especially knit by my Norski gramma) from our own sheeps' wool with the lanolin in it kept your feet comfy warm and soft in winter. Bag balm (again with lanolin) is super for chapped hands and cracked feet. Used it all the time on my cows' teats to keep them soft and free from cracking.

Pedi egg is good, and it gets rid of the old dry skin. Then message in a foot cream, socks are good wool or otherwise. If you have a yellow nail that is lifting, there is an antifungal cream. The cream is on the shelf with the other foot treatments, and you just put it under the nail. Ask your Pharmacist.
If it is very bad, :127: you need a prescription for a drug that is taken internaly.

I used prescription cream for a toenail fungus for weeks, it just kept coming back, then I bought a can of micatin ($10) it cleared it up in (I kid you not)less than a week and it hasn't come back. I had my son spray it on a reccuring fungus rash on his chest and same thing..gone in less that a week.
It is the same dosage as your prescription creams 2% Miconazole nitrate but seems to work better :137:

http://www.micatin.com/

edited to add the link is a cream but I bought the spray powder

A natural salicic acid works the best. Willow Bark Oil is a natural source of it. If you want to know where you can get an excellent product that really works pm me.

I suffer from this as well. What works best for me is using the foot sander while feet are DRY BEFORE showering. After- while feet are still damp -apply "Dermal Therapy"( available at Costco for a decent price )and rub in very well. Your feet will be greasy for awhile so be sure to wear something right away-I wear rubber thongs . Do this everyday.

uwho wrote:lol....ccrazy glue...uh, i will pas on that suggestion, however thanks for the suggestion!

where can you buy them other lotions talked about??
Not familiar with them

Actually, it is a doctor recommended way of dealing with really bad cracks. It closes it up long enough for the skin to have a chance to heal.

I suggest Footlogix. You can find it in many spa and salons. It is amazing. I retail it to tons of my clients, and have seen incredible results.

Soak your feet in a warm water mixed with epsom salts until your feet are wrinkly and then you can use a pumice stone to slough off most of the dead skin.

Once you get most of the dead skin is off you can continue to soak your feet in warm water and olive oil to help soften skin.

After you have done that apply a thick layer of vaseline to your feet and then put some socks on ...go to bed and when you wake up enjoy nice soft smooth feet. :sunshine:

I'd love to buy a pair of the Acorn Boiled Wool Slippers. Does anyone know where to get them locally?

try fixing things from the inside/out. ie; consume more omega3and other 'good' fats. Also try to bring your body's PH into a more alkaline level, an acidic body is prone to miriad tissue disorders. Increase vitaminB (including niacin) and also be sure to hydrate properly with lots of naturally sourced electrolytes.
then do some of the external methods mentioned above.
without ME it's just AWESO
