According to the news this morning, it seems the juvenile idiots in the Liberal back rooms have been hard at work with more misleading advertising and related lies. One wonders if and when those folk will ever grow up and start taking the governing of our country seriously (as well as the maturity and intelligence of Canadians in general - surely they must be assuming that everyone is as juvenile and irresponsible as they are/wanna be and cannot differentiate between lies and truth) Talk about who is doing the real "Deceivin", or at least trying to. It's just modern childish style Federal Liberal politcs folks LOL. (Monkey) Business as usual with those folk I guess.

Even more interesting is that Ignatieff has apparently announced he is taking an 11 day cross country campaign style tour (probably end up at the Olympics "just in time". I hope he remembers to take his umbrella ;-) ) "Winter" Olympics midst the runaway golobal warming claimed is not my idea of a good gambling bet.

His apparent plan is to visit only Universities along his route, which prompts the questions...

-what does that say about Iggy?

-and what does that say about our universities?

Edit to add: I'm thinking I hope "they" keep pushing these irritating buttons. A snap election call for April might be just what the doctor ordered to resolve this childish nonsense once and for all!

I notice the Deciever's Dupes and lovers, striving to blab on about NDP /Liberals, trying to deflect this thread from discussions about why the Deceiver prorogued the the gov't and why we let him continue to get away with stuff like that.

Where does Iggy and his Lieberals get off continually making comments like "...that's why Canadians are angry about it..." What a pile of arrogant flesh this guy is. I'll wager the vast majority of Canadians could really care less at this point, but the greater point is that it seems his approach to opposition is to believe that just because he says it it will somehow become true (even though he knows full well it isn't true when he says it ;-) ) . You would think he would at least have the intelligence to say "SOME Canadians" rather than "Canadians".

In fact, I rather doubt, given his background, that he even knows what a true "Canadian" is. Even Layton and Duceppe are displaying more smarts and class in this situation than Iggy and his group of blunderers.

It looks like the Liberals will be all alone when they return to Parliament Hill for work later this month.

The NDP has no plans to join them in holding hearings and discussions in Ottawa starting Jan. 25 to protest the Harper government's suspension of Parliament.

“We will not be doing what the Liberals are doing,” an NDP source said.

The Bloc Québécois will make sure they have a high-ranking MP present in Ottawa, but haven't given any indication they'll join in the Liberal hearings.
Mr. Ignatieff kicked off a cross-country speaking tour in Halifax on Monday, vowing that he would never prorogue Parliament to avoid controversy if he became prime minister “To use it every time you're in a tight spot seems to me is a flagrant abuse of a constitutional power and that's why Canadians are angry about it,” he said.

When the Liberals hold their meetings on Parliament Hill, Harper will be jetting off to Switzerland to deliver a speech to global leaders and thinkers at the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.

And Finance Minister Jim Flaherty is holding public consultations on what to include in his March 4 budget.

Can you imagine if the House of Commons was in session while the Olympics were on and the rest of the world could actually see what a joke it is? Question Period is such an embarrassment that I think Canadians far and wide should be happy and thankful this pathetic Mickey Mouse part of our parliamentary system is being swept under the rug where it cannot further embarrass us for a few weeks.

Imagine trying to explain it all to tourists. Well yes that guy who speaks a different language and actually wants to destroy our country still get’s to cut a deal with that guy who is an American up until recently and that other guy who has never actually worked a job in the real world a day in his life get’s in on the action as well. Meanwhile the guy we actually elected has to go and talk with a women who eats seal livers in order to beg her not to let the others cut the deal. Oh and by the way those two who hate each over there used to be lovers until one went and crossed the floor to work with the other old French guy who is gone now and that guy over there got kicked out the other guys party because he said something nasty and that guy…..you get the idea. Our system is somewhat of a joke.

I think they would have much MORE important, or for that matter unimportant, things to do that care about what goes on during Questions Period.

the REAL reason for harper proroguing Parliament was to stop the investigation into the afghanistan affair AND to bring down his budget and call an election this spring! He will have appointed all the senators he needs to get a majority there and then try to get a majority in the House. Judging from the performance of Iggy, he may be successful! and THAt will truly be a very very SAD day for Canada. Harper will do it in record time with his majority what Mulroney did during his tenure as PM.
