This woman may die all because of the govt cuts so the doctors can attend the Olympics! Another reason that I don't support the Olympics. Schools have budget cuts due to it as well...among other things. But this one is a very FINE example! UGH!!! :purefury:

reason for the delay is because health officials decided to reduce elective surgeries during the Olympic Games. ..........I sure would not classify this as elective.......more like life and death..............DAMM GORDO :nukeem:

The real problem is that there is a huge shortage of doctors.

Try find a family physician in Kelowna accepting new patients. You can't. There aren't ANY! I know because I have tried. I either gotta drive to Vancouver or just go to a medical clinic. Problem is you cannot get some things done at a medical clinic like your annual physical. You gotta get that done with your family physician. :eyeballspin:

Cateyes - if you go to the same clinic all the time, chances are there is someone who will take you as a patient (but you don't have to see just that doctor) And they Should be able to schedule annual physicals. Our whole family just goes to the Clinic by Save On in Westbank, and we get all the services that we would at a private office.
But we don't need appt. We just go if we have to and we can either wait for our own doc If it is something ongoing or personal, or we can take whoever else is there if it just a minor problem.

That is pretty much what I am going to have to do. I actually have a family doctor in town but he is a huge *bleep*. Can't stand the guy so I just go to medical clinics now anyways.
