I'm getting so sick of having french stuffed down my throat..this isn't Quebec,,it's western Canada...we speak english here...so does the majority of Canada. I'm offended that the french is spoken first. When Montreal had their games they could do what they want over there but why are we forced to have it as the predominent language at our western Canadian hosted Olympics? Why can't we celebrate Canada's diverse cultures..everyone..not just natives!

Ya, I thought much of the same. I didn't love/hate anything about it, but definitely thought this was going to skew public perception about Canada. The rest of the world is going to think we are all either Natives living in igloos who hunt/fish for a living or French (and everyone hates the French.)

We're all Irish now apparently.

Why? Did one of our flag carriers have a bottle of whiskey in the other hand and start a fight?

I prefer to think we're now slightly gothic vikings... Hell, better than pasty, middle-aged, slightly flabby, meh-dressed complainers of traffic.
