where can I get an ultrasound?
I've been experiencing pain in my gallbladder for about a week. I went to see a doc on Friday and he gave me the number for an ultrasound place down on Richter in Kelowna. I called them up and the earliest available slot they have is April 13th! I tried calling the hospitals in Vernon and Kelowna as well as various clinics that I found online. None of the ultrasound clinics I called did anything other than pre-natal stuff and the hospitals were also booked solid.
Anyone know of any places I can go?

Did you ask them to put you on the cancellation list? You can often get in very quickly that way.

If it's really that bad go to the er when it spikes.
Waiting a month or more here is normal. THey had 2 of their techs go on leave in the last year and haven't been able to catch up

Go to the US? What the hell am I paying taxes for here if I can't get the health coverage I'm shelling out for? Bloody farce. Gut the health care service in favour of spending billions to watch some kids play in the snow for 3 weeks instead. Man, I hate our government. And you just know that dingleberry is going to come out and tell us about the importance of living within our means and fiscal responsibility when he gives the budget speech later this week.
