In the past they would tape them, then during the year if they need filler programs that is when they get televised. IMO is sh*tty thing for networks to do.

they should be included and made part of a 3 week olympic program sharing the opening and closing ceremonies and the limelight.

The probelm of course is that the paralympics are not a significant revenue producer.

I've never watched paralympics before but I will this time - kind of seeing it as methodone to help me get off my heroine addiction. I am glad that CTV is going to give us some live coverage - I'll be watching what I can. I know nothing can replace the feeling and spirit of the past two weeks but it's good to know that there will be something to watch that comes somewhat close in some ways. I know the paralympians will be giving it their all just like the olympians and so I am looking forward to it.

ha! Good to hear from a kindred spirit Ferri! :) I thought I might be crazy but then today I talked to some people who are going BACK to Vancouver next week to party some more for the Paralympics - they had such a great time during the regular Olympics they want to try and recapture and relive the spirit one more time. They know it won't be totally the same but I hope they aren't disappointed, but on the other hand - good on them! It says something about how amazing the games were that people aren't ready to move on yet and want to keep reliving the experience, any way possible.

i really hope a lot of people that way! it would be wonderful to see the same size crowds for this! :)

i really do think these Olympics were more special. don't know exactly why, but i have never been as interested in watching them or seen the reaction from all over the world that these got! :) really something for Canada and BC to be very proud of!

(and Thank God my Americans beat the Russians in hockey.)
