Anyone with MS gone for CCSVI testing?

Post by Villagemaid »

Just wondering if anyone here in the Okanagan has gone for testing to see if indeed, they have CCSVI and if so will you be getting the procedure done to open the veins?

I have been talking to a few Canadians on the http://www.thisisms.com website (one from Vancouver and one from Calgary specifically).

I want to have the testing done, even if I have to go all the way to Poland. :runforlife:

So I am in the process of booking the CCSVI tests at False Creek Surgical Centre in Vancouver. that is the first step!

Here is a great link.

In short: Italian researcher Dr. Paulo Zamboni. It is how MS may be linked to a narrowing of the veins that lead from the brain to the heart (maining jugular veins). This leads to a build-up of excess iron in the brain. People who have the narrowing fixed by "ballooning" or "stenting" see improvements.

A great website, if you are interested is http://www.thisisms.com and talks about not only MS and CCSVI (Chronic Cerebro-Spinal Venous Issuficiency)...but also those that have bravely been the pioneers and getting the procedure done.

Wow....good for you.....are you on a waiting list for Poland?? What about Bulgaria with Dr. Grozdinski???

I am scheduled for Bulgaria in October of this year......and Poland in early 2011 if I choose to go there instead.

Let me know if you need any info. I am hoping to be rally-ing CCSVI treatment somehwere in Kelowna soon...I also have a petition to sign and will send to my MP.
