Mass demonstrations are responsible for many civil rights. Just because a large group of people believes in something doesn't make it stupid.

Oh, ideas sometimes are brilliant, it's mass participation and lemming mentality that makes it stupid.

For example, when was the last time you saw a demonstration against oppression of black folks in Africa here in Kelowna? Never. Because it doesn't make sense to have one here. Same with Mohamed thing. But feel free to participate, you're making a difference.

A couple of posts ago you said "I guess you fail to see the logic here." But apparently you miss the flaw in your own logic. Now you're a bright person so I'll let you think about it awhile.

CA, it's a movement that started on Facebook. There are events occuring all over the place. It's not exclusive to Kelowna.

So, people in Kelowna are only doing it because someone else is doing even though in our case it doesn't make sense? Talk about lemming mentality...

We obviously won't be putting our lives on the line but some people will, I want to stand in solidarity with them.

The Pakistani government has blocked the popular social networking website Facebook because of a page inviting users to submit pictures of the Prophet Muhammad.

The page, titled "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!", was created in April to protest threats made by a Muslim group against the creators of the cartoon television show South Park after they depicted Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode earlier this year.

They can dish it out, but they can't take it.

The original "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!" Facebook page -- with more than 80,000 followers -- vanished briefly from the website Thursday, causing some users to accuse the social networking giant of censorship before the controversial page reappeared on the site.

Facebook officials said a "small technical issue" prevented users from accessing the page for a "very short period" of time.
