and how is Layton going to sleep at night knowing he may have to deliver on his fantasy-land of promises he has made? As long as you promise to bankrupt the country with enormous promises of future spending, that qualifies you to "sleep at night"? Seriously?

Layton sleeps just fine at night. And why wouldn’t he ? considering that he and his MP wife double bill taxpayers over a million each year they are sleeping all the way to the bank……not to mention imagine the gold plated pension he is in line to collect after close to 30 years as a career politician. Layton is laughing all of the way to the bank….

Yup. Layton will sleep just fine, at least until he realizes that he is NOT going to get (thus be able to spend on social programs) all that money sitting out there in the hands of corporations and retirees/soon to be retirees (the boomers are now retiring remember, and Layton sees that as a potential windfall of cash and jobs for government so long as he can implement ways for government to get their hands on as much as possible of it).

But he fails to realize that those who have all that cash and assets he thinks he can abscond with (and had planned to produce jobs with, or pass it on to their kids when they no longer need it to live on) will now kick into gear to find every way possible to prevent it falling into Layton's socialist hands, and probably as a result keep it out of their kids hands too.

Enjoy your to be short lived dream kiddies. You may see a hard shift to the socialist left as the answer, ....but unfortunately you haven't asked the right questions of the right people. Not that you would get a true and straight answer from a left wing politician anyway.

Don’t forget the “big bad evil” Corporations will do the exact same thing in response to Layton’s raising the corporate tax rates. Just watch the jobs and investment leave Canada and more off shoring….

I wasn't aware that Harper was even in Vancouver this morning, but I may be wrong of course..

Edit to add. I did however pick this up from the Bill Good show this morning..
