Funny how 43% of the vote with a margin of error of 4 or 5% translates into a 19 point lead.

Canadians want a leader with common sense and a clear vision for the future. That leader is, without a doubt, Stephen Harper. The polls are bang on.

I wonder if the results speak to an increasingly divided country between two extremes-hard left and hard right? Or perhaps the Liberals, the more centralist party simply weren't a viable option.

Apparently he has lost his riding but in his speech he is saying he will continue on with the Liberal Party if they want him to - in whatever capacity they want him.

2 very clear messages were sent today first to Stephen Harper you have your majority. Second is to Michael Ignatieff resign today, enable the Liberal Party 4 years to rebuild with better leader.

I'm so furious that the Conservatives won a majority. But, the Green Party has won a seat in Sannich Gulf Islands.

Now that the Liberals have lost, I hope Mr Ignatieff will resign and Belinda Stronach will take his place.

BTW everyone watch the coverage on Global, because they play epic background music when they go into depth of riding results.
