Ah, but only an older Canadian will deliver both systems in one sentence.

Re: Pet Peeves
When people mislabel things!
Trying to help my sister find something she's interested in, but people completely miss the mark when they are putting up their ads. It is so frustrating.
Sis wants a vase of a particular size/shape/colour. So, I've been poking around. One person on Castanet has an ad with what they call a vase. It's not. It's an art glass swung bowl. A vase is not usually wider than it is tall
The next pet peeves are lousy photos, and poor information. *sigh*

Car dealership salesmen. Slimiest fake scumbags ever. They make lawyers look honest.

I've never been a fan of the whole "April Fool's" deal.
Staring at all the headlines and wondering "which one is fake?". =_=
Pretty sure it's this one https://www.castanet.net/news/BC/419006 ... day#419006

Although I am going to my Grandpa's funeral today. There could be some black humor happening.

Points to ponder about the metric system.
The majority of the planet is metric.
So riddle me this, Why is it that metric sockets are still designed to fit
1/4, 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4 inch ratchets ?
Should not the tools that work said metric sockets also be of metric sizing ?

Re: Pet Peeves
The electrical code book is in metric, but when it says 53mm conduit it really means 2 inches. etc.

Re: Pet Peeves
Americans will never change to metric - they like to compare stuff by saying " the size of a football field" or a boulder, anything but actual sizes
I still don't do metric very well
Allergy season is a treat - my nose running like a 2 year old :( And then so stuffed up like adobe bricks

Re: Pet Peeves
People who advertise something for "free" on marketplace, and then when I click on it it says they want money. They just wasted my time. I should start messaging these people and say, "I just wasted 3 minutes of my time before I realized that your grand piano isn't free. If you pull this stunt again you will hear my lawyer, you worthless a__hole!"

Re: Pet Peeves
I agree - or people who do offer things for free, then offer something without mentioning that they are expecting money for the thing until you message them. Frustrating.
