Another Fire up Princeton Ave below the last one.

Helicopter just flew over my place and I followed its path to up Princeton Avenue. IT circled the smoke rising from the mountain top closer to Peachland than the last one of a month ago that was by the Zip Line. This one is just up from the Riding Club and the smaller acreages that are back in there. This was/has to be human caused as no lightning and it is remote.

Is someone starting these deliberately?

Forestry comment on the actioning of this fire............
"As for the Peachland fire, Klassen says it is in a remote area along Princeton Avenue in the hills above Peachland, and is suspected to be the only one that is lightning caused. "

Anyone see anything, because we were up most of the night and sure didn't see any lightning. Neighbour commented that the fire glow was visible at 4am this morning. We haven't had any lightning in a long time.

I think they should also be investigating this one from a couple of nights ago.

I think that is the one that came up from Deep Creek into Vernon Ave and Bulyea a couple of nights ago.

This latest one is in an area that motorbikers (mostly young and unlicensed) use quite often.

They spent two hours with bucket copters and are now using the larger water bomber and a couple of smaller ones. Not as easy as they thought perhaps to put out.

Is this fire going on now? 4 planes have gone to Penticton and now back towards Peachland. They look like float planes...

The 4 float planes doing circuits to the lake for the past 20 minutes. Flying up Princeton direction, dropping on fire, and then flying down the valley towards deep creek and Antlers Beach. The circuits are taking a lot less time than the last fire at the zip line. Too smokey from other fires to to see if it is big or what. I live right under the path they are taking in both directions

This one looks big. The valley smoke is clearing and now I can see it from upper mission
