It is often threads built on this premise reminds me of Tolstoy and his The Coffee-House of Surat.

I urge anyone who has any concept of pursuit in understanding Theology or study any faith to prove or disprove its worth to read this short story.

because for me its does two things speaks to the place where the Holiest site is located, and secondly speaks to the follies of mankind.

"All human temples are built on the model of this temple, which is
God's own world. Every temple has its fonts, its vaulted roof, its
lamps, its pictures or sculptures, its inscriptions, its books of
the law, its offerings, its altars and its priests. But in what
temple is there such a font as the ocean; such a vault as that of
the heavens; such lamps as the sun, moon, and stars; or any figures
to be compared with living, loving, mutually-helpful men? Where are
there any records of God's goodness so easy to understand as the
blessings which God has strewn abroad for man's happiness? Where is
there any book of the law so clear to each man as that written in
his heart? What sacrifices equal the self-denials which loving men
and women make for one another? And what altar can be compared with
the heart of a good man, on which God Himself accepts the sacrifice?

For the truly devout, every place on earth is holy. Because God is everywhere.

Even the House of Commons Ottawa, Ontario?

One billion Muslims believe Mecca is holy. The place where hundreds of people get trampled
to death over and over and over. That tells us one billion Muslims are slightly disturbed.

It looks like the Arabs are killing people at Hajj - on purpose.

Don't tell me they can't learn from their mistakes. Richest people on earth - the Arabs - they're doing it on purpose.
They're killing people on purpose. guaran-damn-teed.

2006: More than 360 pilgrims are killed in a stampede at the desert plain of Mina, near Makkah, where pilgrims carry out a symbolic stoning of the devil by throwing pebbles against three stone walls. The day before the Haj began, an eight-story building being used as a hostel near the Grand Mosque in Makkah collapsed, killing at least 73 people.
2004: A crush of pilgrims at Mina kills 244 pilgrims and injures hundreds on the final day of the Haj ceremonies.
2001: A stampede at Mina during the final day of the pilgrimage ceremonies kills 35 Haj pilgrims.
1998: About 180 pilgrims are trampled to death in panic after several of them fell off an overpass during the final stoning ritual at Mina.
1997: At least 340 pilgrims are killed in a fire at the tent city of Mina as the blaze was aided by high winds. More than 1,500 were injured.
1994: Some 270 pilgrims are killed in a stampede during the stoning ritual at Mina.
1990: The worst Haj-related tragedy claims the lives of 1,426 pilgrims in a stampede in an overcrowded pedestrian tunnel leading to holy sites in Makkah.

Yes Thinktank, even there.

Because, for believer's, God is all around us, in every location, each and every day. We only have to be willing to look for him, and we will be able to find him.

The idea that one can only find God in certain places, such as Mecca, or even inside a church, is an idea that man created AFTER the individual religions first came into being.

But, if you ask a priest, or an Imam, or a Rabbi, or any other religious leader, where God can be found, they will tell you that God can be found everywhere and anywhere. But that the best place to look for him, is in your own heart.

The idea that the actions of men make a place more or less holy, shows that you don't get it in the first place, Thinktank. I get that you're pointing out the irony, but it has nothing to do with the actual question you're asking.
